I run a Minion 2.5 UST on the front with no issues if that helps.

They are pretty much unridden, thinking about it more I've probably damaged something on the downhill track as I was never aware of the fork feeling strange until I had a spin round GT on wednesday and the first thing that happened was when dropping off a log the fork made a horrendous topping out noise when I lifted the front end and the rebound adjuster pinged off the bottom.

I was planning on gettng the mechanic at the LBS to fettle with them anyway.

Cheers IA, I'm a mechanical incompetent so it's LBS time.

I think it may be the oil weight, the guy was a good bit heavier than me so that could explain it. On the fastest setting the fork "tops out"

The first ride I had on it was at the Fort WIlliam DH track and had a couple of offs so there is always the issue that I damaged it..

    Votes per seat

    Conservative – 34,756
    Labour – 33,301
    LibDem – 124,182

    Democracy in action….

In my own constituency Labour got 51.6% of the vote so my vote was utterly worthless.

cheers for that, I've got the OS Explorer map of the area and looking at it made me think of doing a similar route as to what you posted.

Thanks – going to give it a go this weekend so hopefully that's not an issue.

are you pumping the tyre up to a high (55psi) pressure first?

You should hear the bead "pop" as you pump it up.

I have the Thule 9503 it's pretty basic but it's good value and does the job well. It fits in the boot no problem when not in use (I have a 2000 mondeo hatch).

I've had one for about 6 months now, bomb proof thus far. Also handy that you can store your helmet in the front webbing type pouch if you are about to go on a long climb. Can't say I notice the weight.
