Nah, this is a chat forum.
The weirdos over there <- <- go out when it’s not sunny.

    Classic.

Like a few other s I’m not really fussed about it, have it on without the sound. LBS is sorting out my bike just now then out for a ride in the afternoon in glorious sunshine in the (soon to be) Scottish Republic…

Set the sag you want (assuming it’s an air shock) then mess about with the other settings to see the difference when riding.

I’m already thinking about who to transfer, I made the mistake of selecting Wyn Masters for SA forgetting that he was injured but he should be back for Fort William.

    SDG Bel-airs are great

The SDG appears to be the default for most people but I do not get on with it at all, I find the extra width of a WTB Pure V suits me better.

Had a similar thing on my Totem coil and needed a new cartridge, my rebound also went very fast and I was unable to alter it.

I have an iphone with copilot, the phone connects to my stereo so get the spoken direction through the speakers and can control the tunes from the stereo also. Works a treat, you can get £5 holders that stick to the windscreen from ebay.

Mother India Cafe across from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Indian food in a tapas style, no booking so only issue is you may have to wait for a table if it’s busy . Well worth it and reasonable prices.

If it’s anything like the pic you’ve posted get down to A&E or your GP as soon as!

The bike mark I have from a recent one is only about 2/3mm in diameter.

I’ve got the Ragley one – works fine, in fact it will be going on my new 456SS.

I’ve got 2 bikes running a doubles 36/22 and 34/22 – the 34 has slightly better shifting from the 22 but it has XT whereas the 36 has SLX. Not ever been an issue though.

FSA do a polycarbonate one that’s cheap although can’t find anywhere in stock, I had one for 3 years on a previous bike and it took plenty of hits and kept going strong. It’s also nice and light, bascially a sensible priced version of the E13 one.

I’ve already had to pull one out from 10 days ago, still got the bite mark. Thankfully I do not live in an area with lyme’s disease (yet).

I had applied 100% deet before the ride as I knew I’d be in the undergrowth as I was shooting some video.

Cheers, that’s what I was hoping to read. Probably going to start with the fork at 130mm and take it from there.

The Intense Uzzi will do exactly what you want, pic of mine taken on a 38km route with a lot of climbing. As long as you change the tyres for doing trail riding it will do what you need. I even have a granny ring fitted to mine.

It’s not light (c37lbs) but can’t say I notice the extra weight. The newer version is lighter.

Try ‘Primer’ if you really want your head screwing with.

It’s a superb film. If you like that then the Spanish one “Timecrimes” is on a similar theme although a lot more bonkers.

Surface Detail was one of those books that made me profoundly sad when I finished it simply because it was over..

Exactly the same for me, I reckon it’s his best to date.

Molgrips – did you get the reference at the end to the characters name??

I have a set of The One’s and they are superb, however my mate also has a set and he’s had a few issues with them.

    I don’t get flat pedals

    Seriously?

I’ve seen plenty of SPD riders make a mess of things purely because they were clipped in.

I will add long travel HT’s to the list, utterly pointless!

Have you tried one? They are FUN which is what a lot of people seem to be missing on this thread.

    I couldn’t go below 30 psi

    I’m never above 30psi!!

You were not on UST though, the UST rim and tyre form a much better seal.

People really need to differentiate between UST and non UST tubeless, a lot of the “tubeless is a faff” is aimed at non UST systems.

I’ve been running mavic 819’s for 3 years. Simple to the fit tyres, I’m a serial tyre changer so tended to run without sealant (you will need to top the air up a bit more often without sealant).

The only flat I ever had was from a very shonky landing on a DH track with an XC tyre (High Roller LUST) which ripped.

I’ve fitted UST tyres to normal rims (+tube) without any issues.

I think the main difference between a UST tyre and normal tyre is that the UST have thicker sidewalls. Yes they are heavier but they are lighter than the eqivalent tyre + tube combo.

You need to all go out and ride your bikes or get laid (or both).

edit: TJ – I take your point but as mountain biking orginated in the USA then you can appreciate why it’s an accepted term.

Scroll down to near the bottom left and you will see the “VO Threadless Stem Adapter” – I have this on my commuter (ancient spesh hardrock) and it works a treat.

Make or break is the easiest run. The rest of them are all rideable but have some steep bits, the drop offs have chicken runs. Have a look on youtube as there is plenty of helmet cam footage of the runs.
