I do tend to muck about with the settings a lot to experiment, switching off HSC made the fork bottom out with a loud thunk on a rocky descent.

I really enjoyed Hanna, my take on it was like a modern version of a fairy story.

I tried smidge for the frst time last week and it worked a treat, very impressed with it. Only need one application and does not have the awful smell that skin so soft has.

If you are more interested in making video rather than taking many photos the the kodak playsport is a good option. It shoots at 60fps in 720p mode.

I’ve owned a Blue Pig and now have a Summer Season, the SS is definately slacker up front – my SS is slacker at 130mm than the Pig was at 140mm (using the same Lyrik u-turn Fork).

I also find that the SS has better tyre clearance although I had the original pig so this may have been changed.

I prefer the SS but YMMV.

Can’t comment on the weight as I’ve put a heavier wheelset on the SS.

Molgrips – keep us posted if you do get the E-PL1, I bought one last week to replace my old canon ixus as I wanted something better than a compact but not as complicated as a DSLR.

Only used it in Auto mode so far but been impressed wit hthe pisc. I will mess about with the other stuff once I know exactly what it all means :oops:

It’s ace, only had it for a few weeks so still in the honeymoon “new bikes are ace” mode but so far it’s been exactly what I was hoping.

It’s replaced a Blue Pig as I was looking for something slacker and with a slightly lower BB – with the fork at 130 it does that.

Plenty of people on here have one but a few don’t like the slackness when climbing but I guess it’s a case of what you are used to.

I run mine with a Lyrik set at 130 with a 40mm stem and 711 bars – don’t have any issues with climbing at all.

Got mine yesterday, first ride will be tonight I’ll post back later. Was using Wellgo MG1’s which I really like.

The Hope sticker on the fork leg is a nice touch.

Chicken wire has been installed where it would matter now, I’ve done it in the wet and not really an issue. Main issue is if the wind is strong but that generally only affects one corner at the end of the main boardwalk.

+1 for retired/rescued greyhounds. They sleep most of the day and don’t need that much exercise. My sister has three, when I take them long walks they are knackered at the end. Speed, not endurance, is their forte. They are very placid dogs and also great with kids.

The sag % that you want can make quite a big difference to the spring weight needed.

Think the riders would be better set off with the fastest rather than slowest first?

That does seem strange? It would put me off a touch if I knew that the person in front of me was (theoretically) slower and the person behind was faster?

Voted yes to the AV as I find the current system an abhorrent joke where on most occasions my vote is worthless.

Also agree with TJ that in Scotland the AV vote will be yes as we are used to that system now.
