There was a horizon program where a researcher was making a compelling case for cooked food being one of the reason why our brains are far more developed than other animals.
Basic premise was that cooking food enabled you break it down a lot easier, can’t remember the exact figure but it was something like 5% from raw food compared to 40%+ from cooked food.

I’ve got the Topeak Defender M2 fitted to a summer season. Like others have said the 456 is great as you can attach it to the seat tube meaning it stays nice and low resulting in less getting through.
It’s easily adjustable with out needing shims to fit all sizes.
I take your point but the reason I got my summer season was that no one else makes anything with similar geometry (apart from the custom route). I had a BluePig but always felt it was not slack enough and the BB too high. With the summer season I can get it much slacker running the fork at only 130 and a lower BB height.
Plenty of ways to spend silly amounts on trail/am hardtails..
Can’t help with advice on running faster but with regards to getting a stitch check that your shorts (or whatever you run in) are not too tight around the waist. Try and pull the waistband down so that it sits on your hips.
I’ve ridden it in the wind and rain – rain not really a problem but the winds are, quite easy to be pushed off on a few of the corners on the boardwalk. The boardwalk was not really a problem in the wet (unless you slam the brakes on).
Superstar nano are the same as Nukeproof electrons but half the price
It’s not the same pedal, the electrons are the hard moulded plastic ones for £30. Unless SS nanos are £15?
I have the Welgo MG1’s and the Nukeproof Electron, the Nukeproof offer more grip but I’m not convinced on the durability of them. MG1’s have been flawless but they have scuffed quite badly.
