Great, no point listening to the news on the radio on the way home tonight. I’m fairly certain that the last time the constant media “are we in recession yet?” actually added to the whole mess.
There was a a great quote before the figures were announced of “most city analysts expect low growth from the quarter” – these are the same idiots who caused a lot of the problems in the first place.
Friend of mine was told by a physio to rub up and down the front of your calf to ease them (put olive oil on your hands to stop abrasion). He said it made a difference.
The chap commentating with Warner on the race coverage said a few of the women suffered broken arms / collarbones during practice. I guess she is one of them?
I got one on a bike I bought second hand – the rebound damper went on it and had to be replaced c£90 I think but apart from that they have been flawless and work superbly. Noticeably smoother than my Lyrik on the other bike but they are overkill for most of my riding…
Actually, I’d be more hacked off if they included the DX lights in the test – there must be hundreds of threads on here about them, much more than any other lights.
FWIW I have 2 DX lights, both are great and no issues (apart from a battery failure that was sorted out).
I was with Pipex who were bought out by talktalk, planned on moving as I had read all the horror stories but it’s been fine. In fact it’s actually been faster – speed jumped from 16 to 20meg.
Could be a blockage, might be some rust in the system. Had this in a rental flat years ago and the chap who came round to check it hit the exit pipe with a spanner and it worked..
I took my 12 year old niece and she thought it was ace, only went for the day though. Took the gondola up and walked down, give them a camera to play with and they’ll have a great time.
There was a mini skills area in the pit area for kids to try out when I was there.
GS – have a look on the MTBR forums, loads of examples of the Uzzi and SS. From what you are saying the SS is probably more “aggressive” for downhill despite having less travel (I have coil totems on the uzzi). FWIW I found the Alpine to be a very good climber…
I’ve got an Uzzi (essentially the bigger brother of the SS) and it rides perfectly fine uphill. However, a mate has the Orange Alpine and I’d struggle to see how much better (if at all) a slopestyle would be in comparison.
Putting a Cane Creek double barrel on the Alpine might be a better option?
99% of the time I’m in a car it’s me who is driving and when someone else is driving I usually feel uncomfortable with their driving but I put that down down being in the passenger seat and having a slightly different view.
