Could it be something else rather than salt/hydration? I cramped really badly at Dyfi which is something I have never suffered with, instantaneous relief when I loosened the straps on my knee pads across the bottom of my quads so the cramp must've been due to reduced blood flow. were you wearing something extra to normal, pads, knee warmers, new undershorts? possible extra causal factor.

Well, first time I've ever seen them and what a show, amazing spectacle, sounded good too. Son really enjoyed it but it got a little too much for him so we missed about 20 mins while we sat outside the arena having a drink. Really enjoyed it and, like Sheffield, not sold out but quite an enthusiastic crowd, was very close to the sound desk so vcery close to Paul Stanley when he came out to the platform during the encore. Thinking about going to see them again at wembley just for the hell of it 😀

I did see many people in full make-up but the winner was the young kid on his dad's shoulders in full Gene Simmons make-up and bat-winged cape.

That will be me and my son tonight, albeit without the cape

    No make up for me

mastiles – was it a good show?

    A&E must have been busy.

Speaking to Fraz on Sunday night and he said they hadn't had to ambulance anyone out this year so well done everyone for being careful 😀

I finished that late that I was awarded lights as my spot prize 😀

Really enjoyed it, hardest ride I've ever done, legs still very tight, thought the downhills were superb, really enjoyed the WC descent, didn't realize just how steep it was until I stopped at the bottom and looked back up to the top. Big thanks to Paul and Rosie for dragging me round, pretty sure I would've quit when cramp set in at about half way. great event and big thank you to the organisers and also to the curry house, ate like a horse, food was fantastic and the ride was still calorie neutral 😀

Got betd nylon shock bushes on my 5 and no slop when fitted to the original top hat bush, if there is any play you should be able to feel it off the bike. Try all the different parts one by one:
    Bush in shock
    Top hat in shock bush
    Threaded sleeve in top hat
    Threaded sleeve in frame mount

Bolts do nothing other than stop the sleeve falling out and hence the shock coming off

I find that my wheels accelerate easier after I've curled one out before a ride, therefore it must be down to total weight rather than rotating weight 😀

661 Kyle Straits for my knees and 661 Evo's for my elbows, been using the KS's for every ride since December and they are nice and comfy to pedal in.

You may have to faff about with a blanking disc located at the bottom of your existing spring side stanchion, it's held in with a circlip type thingy!

What does this disc do? If it is part of the air spring assembly why would you need to remove it?

Had this on saturday at Cannock, where the monkey trail splits from FTD, big group gathered there so I missed the signs (first time on phase 2) and carried on along FTD only to find the others had taken the left on to the monkey trail 🙁 Ah well, just enjoyed an extra loop of that section of FTD and a bit of fireroad to get back to the start of that bit and saw the signs second time round 😀

fivespot – no play evident when checked according to Fox instructions so bushes should be ok

I think in the vein of seeking forgiveness by doing penance I'd like to see him taking it up the poop chute with a scaled up artificial penis so its a Child bum to Adult todger relationship for each and every child ever abused by a member of the Catholic church.

Remember, every catholic priest is hung like a bull 😀 allegedley

Hate the car with a passion, also hate full fat RR's too, how anyone can pay that much money for something of such poor quality I will never know. must be something about the brand as all the managers here that have them as company cars turn in to cocks when they get behind the wheel

Sellotape dozens of cue cards together so you can use the 'lots of stories I can't tell you' line, just let the cards fall to the ground then scan down to the odd one that actually does have an anecdote on it, worked well at my wedding.

Group of us rode it Saturday morning, very easy to get carried away on and I'm sure there will be a lot of accidents but no more than any other trail centre, each section seemed to egg you on to go faster, yes some of the trees are right on the apex of some of the corners and easy to clip with a shoulder but what section of singletrack through woods doesn't? the switchbacks are very tight on the climb but we all managed to clean everything, agree it needs some rain on it to help bed it down but definitely makes cannock worthy of a visit or two again this year. Overall well done to the trail builders.

Happy St George's Day to all, am one of only 2 people in a large open plan office with approx 500 people in it that seems to be embracing the celebration, I have St George cross flags on my desk and he is wearing white shirt, red tie and St George cross cufflinks, we have both just had a full English breakfast too 😀

    Happy St George's Day everyone

Just put the flags up on my desk, wondering how long it will be before someone suggests it may offend people of other cultures/nationalities (Indian owned Coventry based car manufacturer)

Didn't have chance last night or this morning to get some St George cross buns from Tesco 🙁

In Coventry in a large open plan office, one wall is approx 200m away in front of me and has windows but cannot see anything through them at this distance, solid walls to my right and rear, row of senior manager offices to my left, one is glass fronted and through that and the outside window I can see the back of a white transit being unloaded and a mixed hedgerow, can also see the top of one of the air conditioning units on the building wall, bet no-one can beat that for a shit view 🙁

Surprise, surprise – financial pressure wins against human safety. Like how the buck has been passed too, the authority that shut the airspace are now saying that it is the airlines responsibility to insure passenger safety.

The americans are saying that the test flights are pointless as they should've been proper routes flying from a foreign destination in to uk air space and NATO have confirmed engine damage on F-16's that have flown through the dust.

Although I am 16 stone I am anorexic, every time I look in the mirror I see a fat Bast4rd looking back at me 😀

On a more serious note, where do you draw the line between big and fat? Someone posted they can easily distinguish the difference but I want to know where the line is, at 5' 10" and 16 stone, am I fat or am I big? And don't use the generic BMI thing because apart from my waist there is very little excess ie, the muscle definition in my legs and arms is very pronounced. Other things to consider are my cholestrol is 4.3, my last Hba1c was 6.7 (have type 1 diabetes), my liver and kidney functions are normal, my blood pressure is spot on, my resting heart rate is 48, there is no protein in my urine, I walk with my palms facing inwards, do not have sausage fingers or piggy eyes and have only lost time at work in the last 6 years due to mtb accidents/injuries – would you employ me if I was qualified for the job with the relative experience?

So, all the flights are cancelled and the temperatures rise, surely just a coincidence…..but wait, what happened when all the flights were cancelled following 9/11,m that's right, we had several hot sunny days, one can only assume from this then that flying planes is preventing climate change 😀

As for putting out the volcano, surely all the CO2 we produce should do that 😉

I think the fact our top nuclear armed sub is on exercise in the south atlantic along with a squadron of Typhoons at Port Stanley acts as a very effective deterrent to the argies that have been stirring about the sovereignty of the Falklands and the associated gas/oil supplies down there
