A few that I have seen that fit the OP:

    Queen – just unbelievable
    Alice In Chains
    Pearl Jam
    AC/DC
    The Charlatans
    Soundgarden

Too many others that have now become ‘stadium bands’ and are almost too good live now

Had a great weekend, my 9th mayhem in a team of 4 and this year with 3 newbies. We al had a great time, course was better than last year but this mat have been due to the weather, some of the fireroad climbs got quite slippy in places. Agree with the lack of festival atmosphere comments posted, gutted for those that had bikes nicked. Trackside camping was definitely a boost but was a bit disappointed that there was no-one cheering you on over the jump of doom, did it on all of my 7 laps without as much as a whimper from the campers  and where were the inflatable dolls seen at the Eastnor events by the jump of doom, always made me chuckle. I did hear a rock covers band playing somewhere on an evening lap but never saw any sign of them, sounded ok too. May even be tempted to do it again next year now…

All, we had a great day in the peaks today. Very different from the normal bridleways of worcestershire. My legs are a bit tight, the rocky descents are brilliant, cleared all bar one of them when I misjudged how big the drop was and stopped (hangs head in shame). Saw plenty of other riders, everyone nice and friendly, never had my papers checked so phew, never destroyed anywhere, no skids, no avoiding puddles just big grins and one pinch flat between 5 of us so fairly successful. Thanks for all the suggestions with routes etc, we did the fore-shortened long route so ended up just over 25 miles. Definitely be back there soon, only 2hrs from home so easily do-able in a day.

Quite good timing considering votchy and his visiting hordes will have destroyed everything with their rampant selfish abuse of the trails

are the trails that fragile that mincing will destroy them :D

Looking at the forecast I don’t foresee there being too much of an issue with walkers lol. On that note though how does this area fare in wet weather, does it become a skating rink on the rocks or is there still reasonable grip, are there bail out options, anywhere to shelter, really exposed to wind etc?

I saw the article but didn’t read it, maybe it was explained somewhere but how did bikes scoring 4 stars not get in the top 10 when bikes that scored 3 stars did???

I have just gone from an S2 to an S4, it is a little larger and ticks all the boxes apart from the dust/water/robust that you require. You can get a waterproof case off ebay for under a tenner to use on the bike, a gel case for a couple of quid for normal use and it comes with a pre fitted screen protector. Used my S2 for 2 years mounted to the handlebars in a protective case and it is still working fine having been out in all weathers and survived several crashes.

Having driven a car with ACC for 25 miles on a combination of motorways, A roads and B roads without having any input other than turning the steering wheel and indicating I dont see any issue with progressing to a driver-less car. Many cars are now fitted with all round vision camera systems so linking these to engine, braking and steering control is an obvious step forward. May even have the opposite effect and prevent grid lock by being more intelligent than drivers!!!

Most likely the play is all from the bushes in the shock eyelet, I use the nylon ones from betd.

Another no to this years MM here, have done the last 8 and I didn’t enjoy last years event much. There was no real reward on the course as most of the downhill was fireroad and with no trackside camping a distinct lack of atmosphere too. What has happened to 24hr DJ’s and people dressed in gorilla suits wandering through the woods at 24hr events, the jump of doom and the blow up dolls lining the course, marshalls shouting encouragement throughout the event etc – all things that I have experienced at Eastnor in the past (admittedly they have not been present at the last couple) seem to be distinctley lacking and used to add to the fun and atmosphere of the event.

You have to take the boat trip in to Disney with kids that age so you get the full wow of seeing the castle and everything, they will love all the parades and stay til the end to see the fireworks. You will see wild alligators if you take a trip to Kennedy Space centre, there are dozens of them along the side of the road as you approach Kennedy, a good day out for kids that age too.

Ginger nuts are definitely top dog, equally as good dunked in tea, dunked in nice cold milk and just as good on their own, nothing I know is as diverse :D

Problem is they do not last long as I always dunk a pair back to back meaning a pack doesn’t last long :(

250GB is what you need, as above things like battlefield 4 require something like 6GB of space, you can get a 250GB hard drive for the 4GB one for about £35 which may be cheaper option.

Another nappie user here, cheap as chips aldi disposables, dry boots next day, used nappies at MM and boots dried out fairly well between laps (team of 4), but then I use the northwave celcius and have never had water get in unlike the shimano’s

This is filth really, how do you drive for 90-100 meters with someone on your bonnet, or for that matter hit someone and just not notice.

I can understand you comment and cannot really explain why, but having been involved in a collision with a cyclist it took me a long time to stop as the initial reaction was ‘wtf was that’ rather than slam the brakes on, there wasn’t anyone on the bonnet so slightly different. I do not wish to go in to details of the accident as it does bring back horrific memories.

Further investigation reveals both Heinz Tomato Ketchup and HP Brown Sauce have tomatoes and vinegar as the 2 biggest ingredients.

Ketchup = vinegar based, does it not?

Brown sauce is also vinegar based so why not Brown Ketchup?

A lot depends on who you are going with. On your own then the universal parks win if you like coasters, young family disney wins, teenagers then universal again but enough at disney to keep them entertained. Dont forget Kennedy space centre, good day out for all ages.
