No, he had a roller coaster track from the stage to the sound desk, drum riser travelled along the tracks rotating as it went so he was upside down several times between stage and desk and back, lasted about 10 mins in total and he played over the top of a variety of tracks including paranoid, uptown funk, sabotage to name a few. I was under the lowest point of the track so could clearly hear the drums above the PA system when he was upside down directly above me. Plenty of vids on youtube.

Agreed the stage show does look good, not a fan of their music to clarify my earlier statement :D

In the context that I believe the thread was intended i.e. If you had already planned to go there would you? Then my answer would be yes. The London bombings didn’t stop people going to London, same with 9-11, never used to stop people back in the 70’s when the IRA were active so why would it stop people now? History shows few places are are attacked following large media exposure of the initial attack (I discount places like Belfast and Baghdad as these are or were almost civil war zones, not terrorist targeted areas)

Where do you draw the line between being complimentary and flirting? people are so screwed up with things these days that common sense has all but disappeared.

‘You look well today’ or ‘That’s a nice dress/suit’ – compliment/flirt/being civil? Who decides?

Neither of these would bother 99.9% of people but there is always someone who is a bit bat shit mental that will think wrong of things.

I wonder how people met and got involved in relationships in the past? At school i remember notes being passed between girls and boys, after leaving school striking up conversations seemed to work as did blatant flirting as did typical ‘laddish’ behaviour on holiday. None of which ever made the news.

OMG, what a show last night at the NEC! Firstly Alice Cooper absolutely smashed it, not often a support act gets a full stage show but it had everything he normally does except fewer songs. Not seen Motley Crue for years but basically the best stage show I have ever seen, more pyro than I thought possible at an indoor show, sound was very good, even for the NEC, the drum solo has to be seen to be believed, vocals not as bad as I feared and as stated above, for a corpse Mick Marrs can play a guitar lol. Dont forget to turn round and face the mixing desk for the encore, nice little intimate stage that they use to close the show. So glad I went to see it \,,/

Not sure about weights but defo cheap are Geax Daturas and Sagauro, both classed as mud tyres, I can vouch for the daturas being grippy and fast rolling, the sagauros seem to roll well on my first ride on them monday but conditions not yet that muddy, gripped well in the few muddy bits I encountered, both dirt cheap at on-one and the TNT (tubeless compatible) work very well tubeless.

Are swampthings still available? Had a pair a few years ago and although draggy they were the best tyre I have ever used for muddy conditions, used them in the wyre so very similar to FoD for mud and they were brilliant.

The things I got up to as a kid would cause pandemonium these day, I helped build the estate my parents still live on before I started school, would get up in the morning, Mom would do me a packed lunch, would cross the road to the builders mess hut, put my sarnies on the table at ‘my’ seat then spend the day with 2 Irish builders (and yes they were called Paddy and Murphy!!), they would let me drive the dumper truck, was up and down the ladder on to the scaffolding laying bricks with them, plastering the walls, even had red hot tarmac in my Tonka dump truck to help lay the road etc and the only time my Mom got a little upset was when we went swimming in the lake one afternoon as it was too hot to work!! These days those 2 builders would probably be accused of being nonces and the building site closed down due to a 4yr old working there, unqualified and unpaid!! When the builders left I packed my bag to go with them lol. In hindsight it was totally irresponsible by all parties but at the same time the dangers were always managed ie I was given leather gloves when tarmaccing, helped up and down the ladder and always someone with me when on the scaffold.

Would I let my kids do the same, probably not but would certainly think about it.

I ride a 5 and I really like it, climbs better than the Giant NRS it replaced but then that might be because I am a little fitter :D
It goes up hill as fast as I can pedal, the suspension moves when I go over bumps, it slows down when I apply the brakes and generally it goes downhill as fast as I dare. i have hit things on it and thought ‘oh sh!t’ then moments later have had a big grin on my face because I got through/round/over whatever the thing was, ie the bike is better than I am as a rider. I dont know what brake jack is but have never thought anything was ‘strange’ when braking, I do know what bobbing is but have always thought that if the suspension didn’t move during a climb then all those lumps and bumps would be transmitted in to my arse or maybe thats how it should be

As said above, go ride one, if you like it buy it, if you dont go try something else, then go back and buy the Orange

Ran a pair of Datura TNT last winter, great tyre in mud and on wet roots, run low pressures set up tubeless and they still roll surprisingly well on tarmac, sat in the garage on spare wheels ready to be fitted when the weather turns.

CM/Smorg combo dont suit me when it gets muddy as they are very skittish in the wet, also found them very pressure dependent in the dry, couple of psi difference and they go from grippy and able to wrap around roots/rocks etc to pinging off everything, also if run too low psi I have burped both off the rims, great at the right psi tho

Just ordered a pair of the gato’s to try on their own or combined with a datura.

Legislation could be drafted with a 10/15/20 year implementation phase. No more cars bigger than x engine size, capacity, whatever it takes to help prevent pointless deaths from speeding on public roads

Late to the party here but the above is impossible until we get autonomous vehicles, after all 40mph on a motorway can kill people if it is inappropriate due to conditions at the time. Also, how would you manage it when travelling abroad? I drive from Germany with unrestricted autobahns to the UK, my car is legal in Germany and can do 186mph flat out for example, what stops it doing that on a UK road? Alternatively, i travel the other direction and can only do 70mph on an autobahn, I now become a hazard to the faster moving traffic!

I dont know what I do wrong with google maps but it eats data when I use it, a journey to Ireland didn’t get me back as it had used all of my 1gig of data allowance. I use Here instead and that has the ability to go online if needed but otherwise I have the whole of Europe downloaded and had no issues using it in france. I just use google maps via wifi to check the traffic before I leave home.

Leather seats here, my process is cheap nylon seat covers, remove dirty shorts leaving inner shorts on, wipe down legs with muddy outers, put clean dry shorts on for journey home, remove muddy top, put dry top on, sit in car, drive home. The thought of getting changed in the cold and dark is far worse than actually getting changed in the cold and dark :D

I have an old dring dring type bell, works much better than the ding ding on my other bike, people move quickly expecting a child as the dring dring is more normally associated with a child’s bike I think and I get more thank yous with the dring dring than the ding ding lol

Currently he uses 5b vic firth with nylon tips, he always wears ear defenders and has an acoustic kit. I am no drummer but I think he hits things hard but his drum tutor says he is ok, maybe he plays differently there to home. There is a bit of jamming with mates and band practice at 11 but as above, he always ear defenders. His band are currently playing rock covers including ‘Look good on the dance floor’ Arctic Monkeys, ‘American Idiot’ Green Day and similar tunes to those.

I tend to wear sticks out on rims/cymbals rather than break them until there’s a narrow waist which then snaps

Similar thing happens to my lad and he is currently practising approx 1.5hrs every weekday and 2-3hrs per day at weekends so doing 12-13hrs a week.

As with all things, its down to practice. I used to use 2 fingers but after a few weeks of trying 1 finger it became natural. Keep going and it will happen

Is it not just as easy to remove the air can then send it bubble wrapped etc? Does this not then stop it being pressurised.
