Put your foot behind the pedal & push it up to ensure its starting at the top of it’s stroke again. I used to drive a 406 taxi that developed a similar problem , doesn’t sound quite the same as yours but its worth a go. Never found out why it did it & just got into the habit of tapping it back up with my toe.

Had everything needed for my 2015 Reba’s & funnily enough they felt a lot better for it. I think the generous helping of Sram butter in the top seals probs made the biggest difference.

Total piss take on the Sram butter tub having a false bottom , that cheesed me right off. ******s

If you have a meter , check the battery voltage as you try to crank it. if it doesen’t drop below 11 -12 ish then the battery’s ok. Then try tapping the back end of the starter in case the brushes are stuck. Could also be the starters solenoid. Haven’t worked on a JCB , but have worked on a lot of ATV’s

(Also check for loose connection)

Just spotted you said “switched battery on” , battery isolators are pretty good at failing with corrosion internaly. Bypassing it is usually fairly simple.

There is a documentary called “The battle for Chernobyl” on youtube, that’s well worth a watch. Been both fascinated & terrified in equal measures by it, some serious acts of heroism followed in the days after.

Alternate days 16 mile / 1hr 15 ish pushing hard , year round for 4 years now. Sometimes more , lose some days in winter with weather.

How timley , spent part of Friday mounting an old Record No 25 onto my workplace work bench. Got given it by another department who’d replaced it with a horrible crappy wee Eclipse. Dressed the top of the jaws to square them & flipped them round , it looks a lot better already. Need some new 5/8″ unc csk screws now , & a repaint.

One of the many machines I look after is a thing called an Ensilor (we have several). It has an approx 1200 litre vat that dead Salmon & formic acid are minced up to produce a slurry type of waste. The propeller shaft has bearings that collapse about every year rendering the propeller/mincer inoperative , usually persons continue to fill it to the top! 😎

Then the Engineer (me) has to withdraw the whole assembly to refit new taper rollers to the shaft (Yay!!). The first one I did had been formenting for 10 months plus , pandora’s box holds nothing as foul!

Black oozing bubbling putrid high protein greasy nastyness , the likes you never want to encounter. It doesn’t phase me slightly these days. 😁

Day lift pass last year was 30 euro , I took my 27.5 Cove Hustler & it passed an awfull lot of V10 Santa Cruz’s. I ain’t all that either , not much of a jumper although I learnt a lot in Vallnord & cleared some table tops. 😀

Moon comet & comet X failed in 2 years , the x is 5 month old so will get warranty. My smart lunar 2.0 let water in between the lens & body , treated it with Quicksilver liquid neoprene & it’s on it’s 4th highland winter 👍

I worked on fishing boats years ago & lost count of the amount of times i’d get the shite scared out of me by one of these buggers , they seemed to like using boats for extreme low level target runs. One minute your in a wee world of your own sorting prawns or stacking creels , sound of a 6 cylinder Ford labouring away , totally oblivious to whats sneaking up behind you @ a few hundred mph.

Then Boom! 20 foot above the mast , F@£$%^&*!!!!

It was a bit like someone picked some excellent tasty ingredients , threw them in a bowl & microwaved them for 8 mins.

It was edible but not good , 5/10

Good call on the AM Enduro chap’s , did a 1.5 hr ride last nite @ around 1c degree’s. just had 2 compression tops under it & I was very comfortable 👍
