Seat rails also were the cause of an annoying creak on my Anthem.

I have just sent an email to Winstanley bikes, with regards to a warranty claim. It was purchased 30th may. The play was noticable when first fitted but has gotten significantly worse.

My Giant Contact Sl is about 8 months old & the play in the post is a joke. Stripped it down today to see if I can do anything with it but it’s a non starter as far as I can see. The guide is worn allowing torsional movement.

I certainly would not buy or recommend another to anyone. Badly thought out crap!

Looked into this a while ago & apparently 00 grade steel wool is what you need , thats double zero grade. Never tried it because I cant buy it here , but when I get some I will use it.

I have a decent 2006 120D sport , can’t say I really like it that much. Heavy steering (around town) & horrible notchy 6 speed gearbox (tallish geared) are my biggest gripes. 167hp so it goes like stink tho, granny driving get’s around 50 mpg.

No surprises in hearing it’s small, I’m 5ft 6″ so it’s not too bad for me. Also it’s low (standard) & dropping into it is not that nice. seats are comfy, it’s very firm on the road & more prone to understeer than oversteer when pushed hard. I would also say that the steering rack ratio is fairly quick & booting along our highland A roads requires mucho concentrato.

I do like the way it looks & after a V6 petrol Alfa my pocket is so much happier. But really after 18 months the jury is leaning to disapointed!

They have not long finished their up to 69% of XMAS sale. IME the only discs & pads worth buying from them are the Brembo ones.

I’m quite often the slower rider & I opt for A. Get them past so I can focus on me & not be pressured out of my comfort zone.

I also like this when I’m not the slower rider.

It’s just a b***** that on a single carriage way they have a 50mph limit, because the GVW is over 2ton.

I’ve had 2 in the last 7 months as a works vehicles, both 2015 102 hp engined. The 1 @ 40k would sit @ 70mpg + around 50-55 mph , the 1 @ 30k was @ 50-55 mpg doing the same speed. Weird thing is the better mpg van was quicker :?:

If you have a hot air gun , give whatever the bearing is going into a good heat (even better with alloy). That & a frozen bearing usually drops in.

I recently found myself in an Ikea down in Glasgow. Holy jeebus , it was more like a visit to Jurassic park! Up to 3 generations of land whale roaming free & untethered. 8O

Not that we don’t have our own chubber populus where I live , but this was some next level stucko.

Something’s changing , great british bake off? HFCS? Giving up?

Badger 150 is what I’ve got & it’s streets ahead of my skill level. I also must use mine more & second the cleaning / ball ache issue.
