    Get whichever fits best!

NB have a very specific fit ime – they are perfect for me, but generally seem better for thinner feet, and I find some other brands too wide, especially as I tend to go up a size for longer distance shoes. E.g. I run in 10.5 or 11 NB but work shoes are 9’s!

Everyone I know who has Brooks seems to like them…

But best to go with what feels right

    And re: earphones (bikebuoy)

Currently got wireless Phillips sport in-ear, pretty reasonable price. I usually use noise cancelling buds but find that a bit too much if running as I do like some natural sound (cars / people / gunshots etc) but very much personal fit / choice so difficult thing to recommend.

Coldplay Wallop!!?!? That would have most folk running for a cliff

Definitely varies with my mood – sometimes nice just to have no music, but needing the extra encouragement at the mo!

Will no doubt put a more chilled one up at some point ..,

Theoretically to increase saving and also reduce ‘disposable’ income, easing expenditure pressure on inflation.

    My observations:

100% what Tillydog said – you will need to work it a bit to spread and get an even coverage. It can go off pretty quick so you don’t get a lot of time to do this – watering down a bit definitely improves the flow and makes this easier, slightly increased dry time.

You’ll need to work fast if covering a reasonable size area – helps to have a bitch assistant to mix / prep batches of compound as you level and pour!

Battens will be good to edge, seal using anything you have lying around in a mastic gun if it’s particularly uneven.

How deep are you filling? Might be better to build up if it’s a big / deep area.

    Good luck!

So is it a 30a supply / cable…..or just a cable going into a junction box that has 30a stamped on it?
    What size cable is it?

Sounds likely a spur from one of the ring mains, but could be giving odd results due to some bodging / crossing of circuits…

    What they said ^

Return of funds paid in error. Very different to a refund, so I’d pursue immediate return of funds to your bank ASAP

Was it a standing order, or Direct Debit? These offer different consumer protection but probably not failure to cancel by custome…

If you can’t convince them of their misunderstanding (in a pleasant but firm way) I’d revert to Bad Cop and send written request to return funds to your bank within 14 days, else you’ll have no other choice but to refer to financial ombudsman (I believe they cover standing orders and direct debits) or small claims…

Yep I think even if I get cheap ish doors (thanks for the offer BigJ) all the extras are going to bump the cost up too much, esp as we are considering moving too…

Cabinets etc are fine, just want to lose the country cream tone!

    Paint it is !!!! :?

    Ar$e !!

So they are all some funky sizes, and not sizes they do in cheaper IKEA ranges.

Might do a test paint on a spare door! :|

Give Oakley a call / email… If repairable they will generally do so at minimal cost.

Or they’ll tell you to superglue it

Yes they ain’t cheap. Or light (40+kg for a biggie!)

But the other stuff they sell makes the tray seem a bargain!

Got a decent discount at local supplier tho…

Done what richc said – low pro tray and build up floor with cement / backer boards. I had elec UFH which raises tiles a little too. So 6mm board + thickish tiles and some gunk = ~ 25mm.

Nice (not cheap) trays like this:
    Crosswater Stone Resin Tray 25mm[/url]

Minimal faff. Floor joists run in the right direction for the waste to go in between …?

I made one for my 4y.o. Had some spare (sturdy!) ikea storage units, framed in cls timber and secured to wall / floor.
Made a mattress frame in more cls timber and slatted base above the cabinets. It’s fairly low (60cm) but has a higher unit on one end that works as a shelf and wired in some lights etc.

    If I could link a photo I would…

Conclusion: not much cheaper than a ready made cabin bed but we had an awkward shaped room so needed the custom fit…

markwsf – My 4y.o. Boy took the whole thing, including mount, off with a well timed head butt. Seems to be the way to do it
    :D

If the mount is securely fixed I’d leave it and try to find a way of fixing to the old mount.

Given the risk of damaging the screen I’d only try removing the mount as a last resort.

Quite a few vids on YouTube, so maybe check that or one of the car forums (fora?) re safe removal!

Replaced my BMW screen mount using Loctite 318. Read instructions carefully as its a bit hit and miss if it’s not all prepped correctly.
BMW told me the whole screen would need replacing, so yea, take care if you have to remove the old mount!

Attach a temporary vertical batten one side of the corner (using the square upper section as a guide) so its flush with the square edge, fill gap with plaster, level off using the wood as a guide and leave to set. Remove batten and fix to other side and repeat by attaching the batten to the other side of the corner (2nd side should be easier)

And hope the skirting matches up with the new corner (maybe check this first!)

As a couple of people have mentioned, if it is age related discolouring, then whitening at dentist is the solution. The yellower core of the teeth show thru enamel as it thins / ages, and also worsening the effect of surface staining.

Local dentist it’s £360 – this covers a custom mould top and bottom and sufficient treatment gel for the initial whitening, and recommended left over gel is used for a one off top up every 6 months (so ~ 18 months)

After that, it’s £50 for further gel that covers 4 top ups so ~ 2yrs

So expensive initially, but I’d say fairly reasonable to keep it in that condition.

Just remove one of the sockets.

Main thing is (Sorry if I missed it) but have you checked the wiring layout of the room, ie is the ‘old’ socket really the original? Turn off power, look under faceplates of everything in the room and figure it all out… IF the right one is just a spur form the left then easy answer is (as stated a couple of times) get rid and put a nice new socket on the left.

If you’re not comfortable / can’t / don’t want to do that then pay someone who will.

Pretty close to the limit, but would be OK assuming no further power demand beyond the 2.7k (ie 2.7k is absolute max it will kick out, and the unit not tagged to an elec hob, or anything else!) if you’re lucky it will just pop the plug fuse. If unlucky….. Hmmm 8O

What does the manual say about connection …?

Kryton – ‘thick’ cooker wire… 6mm / 32a fuse should* be ok – assuming you’ve checked it all the way back to the consumer unit….
Is the cooker on the same circuit, or just a hob? You’ll need to factor that in as well. Someone else will probably say 10mm / 40a
