Some strange comments above.Who cares if the BBC show it? ITV 4 do a great job…one of the television highlights of the year…and they screen higlights of TDF.
Had regular surgery on mine…with mesh. Had the operation in a posh,Private Clinic, courtesy of the NHS.Went home immediately after the op,a bit sore for a few days. Thankfully, there have been no repercussions.
He’s a great rider, but one that I can’t warm to. It’s a massive blow to a series that is disappearing up it’s own orifice.
And as for the pointless GOAT debate,it has to be Kenny Roberts…..the Sheene/Roberts battle at Silverstone was my first GP.
I’ve got one, love it. Can’t add much more than the above comments..I raced in a local XC today..I’m not a contender, but the bike didn’t hold me back. A confidence-inspiring bike.
…just a reminder that rivers are closed for Coarse fishing until June 16th. I enjoy lure fishing, but un-hooking Pike can be tricky for the inexperienced, better to go with somebody that knows what they’re doing…..and always use a wire trace.
MoreCash,Sangam’s is ok,good atmosphere, friendly service, large portions, but average food……but it is very close to The White Star and The Glebe, which are bothe excellent pubs…especially if you like real ale.
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band,Trentham Gardens,1976…I wasn’t a fan,but all the older and cooler kids at School like ’em.
Seen lots and lots of bands since..
Is Rossi just too old? Is the Ducati THAT shite ?….Not a thrilling race, but not quite the snore-fest that we generally slept through last season.
On a brighter note, well done to Cal. A fine effort!
Some lovely cars in this thread, but I’m with Kayak,I never aspired to car ownership,it was always bikes for me…and especially Ducatis. A local lad had a very yellow and very loud 450 Desmo. Then on my first visit to Mallory Park,I saw a black and gold 900 SS and was smitten. Never owned either of those, but had a 500 Pantah when I was 21. Ace!
50,enjoy my riding as much as ever.Had a 3 month lay-off a couple of years ago,but have probably improved slightly since my return..
I enjoy Winter riding ,as much as Summer riding…slip-sliding in the mud, barely in control, sharpens you up for the Summer.
Also treated myself to a Cross bike for me 50th. Great fun.
