As a basic assessment of potential tube delamination, tap a coin around and on a damaged area. Significant differences in resonance between damaged and non damaged areas and a ‘duller’ sound to the tap can be indicative of delamnation that you might not see from outside the tube.

Joe Friel’s books are excellent resources for this sort of stuff. Careful about people on here. Lots of pseudo experts ;)

Speak to just riding along…they build some great wheels, and are happy to discuss spec etc.

Just in case anyone’s not really taking the mick about single leg work (!), the idea is to counter the dead spots in your pedal stroke, which are ‘hidden’ when you pedal with two legs. Apparently it was actually invented by Wiggo. (This last bit may not be true) ;)

In terms of cadence, overgeared sessions early in winter training, together with some higher cadence and single leg drills will yield good results overall.

I’ve got an xl one. Built it with road cranks and my feet hit the stays (size 12 feet!) really badly. Changed to a mtb chainset (wider) and its fine now…

I think the new kaffs suffer more with the disc mount and flared chain stays…

Biggest advantage this year for me was mud tyres on a rigid hard tail. Rode past dozens of people pushing. Think I was 5th if that helps put my answer into context.

Might be worth you speaking to greyhound gap. They’ve got a forum etc. We’ve got three greys ourselves. In my experience over the last few years with ours and others, some greys are a little ‘unpredictable’

IMO you might be best getting the dog rehomed through a greyhound charity, perhaps with a family without kids.

    Hope your son is ok.

You will indeed get thrashed, but you probably won’t be last. It will hurt. You will be lapped. No one will take the piss though, cross is pretty inclusive. You will probably love it. ;)

I had two Conti tyres explosively blow at the bead before. Both MK version 1s from memory. Scared me witless both times!

Just junk it and buy some Schwalbes ;)
