Fulcrum cx racing 7s are fine for the money. Did 3pcx on them last year no probs (68kg rider).

Happy to be told otherwise, but from what I’ve read about the Dreamliner battery fires, they don’t seem to have established a true root cause (eg dodgy equipment, dodgy installation or use) and thus any ‘fix’ they’ve put in place is a little doubtful.

Got an iphone? GPX navigator app is 1.49 and lets you follow GPX tracks. Works really well too.I’d imagine there is a similar android one too.

Carcass haven’t sounded ‘like Carcass’ for a long time now. Neither have ND really. That didn’t sound too far a departure from Heartwork, and that was 20 years ago! Be interested to yea what the vocals sound like.

I was doing some hill reps on a local dead-end hill recently whilst a low-key ‘fun’ triathlon was taking place. As the bike leg didn’t appear to be well signposted, I kept finding riders following me up the hill on each rep, thinking I was riding their event. When I stopped at the top and turned round each time they were rather confused. I must have took four of them up there. One lady was pushing bless her. :-)

I bought a reasonable cartridge bearing Ritchey one recently for about a tenner on either Wiggle or CRC….think it was an end of line thing though.

Proto version was knocking about at Exposure, with the lovely Cotic AQR team.

This sort of thing is a likely by-product of people starting to consider a dog as a riding accessory. There’s been threads on here about ‘What Trail Dog?’ for example.

It’s a dog, not the latest dropper seatpost or other spurious must-have of this week/month!

30psi for racing on clincher tyres, but more for 3 peaks (50-60)

I’ve not picked a roadrat up, but I suspect they’re not the lightest of bikes? I wouldn’t want to have to carry one of those up some of the 3 Peaks sections. Disc brakes is a positive for some of the descents though!

Get your shock bushing replaced with a non plastic one. Last longer. I once had a plastic one last two days of a stage race!

What was different for you about laps 4 & 5 of the xc race? Your HR profile is relatively similar for laps 1-3′, but changes after that. I love training peaks. :)

Some reasonable riding in a fairly compact area as per PGreen’s comments. Not all ‘obvious’ riding at first glance though. There’s some altitude at least, which is better than most of the Midlands :)
