Having problems finding some 120mm forks though, any 120mm 29er forks other than fox’s at 700+?
I reckon frame plus xt group set from .de and easton bar and stem, shimano wheels, but without forks can be had for circa £1400 Ish

Will be on the phone tomorrow to find out how long it takes to get one.

However if I didnt already have an on-one carbon 456 I would be ordering the new lurcher

Was going to order a Bfe, then changed mind and went for a carbon 456 at the same price.

Amazing value for a carbon frame and after giving it a good bashing over the weekend, its stood up really well, super light and perfect for a trails, good at uphill, fast xc and of course downhill.

Cotic seem’d to have shot themselves in the foot somewhat if they arent getting any large frames until April. You would have thought they would have planned ahead when they reduced the price of the frames. Guess they are only a small outfit though and stock is a big investment….depending on where they are made of course.

The other frustration with Cotic is the fact they only ship frames out on a Thursday. So if you order on a thurs or friday you wont get anything delivered for a week.

On-One is pretty much next day and state stock levels on their website.

Its good for all of us there are lots of choices around in the 300-400 price point for hard tail frames.

Just had my new frame built up with parts left from my old specialized. Bought new forsk, easton bars, stem and seatpost and some bonty MUD-X tyres.

Taking her out tomorrow for a jolly good thrashing on the trails.

Sounds like I could drop the requirement of 1000 lumens and go for a couple of cheap 300-600 torches instead.

I’ll post the same question on bikeradar as it seems there is more experience of cheaper solutions there.

Im amazed no one has run a cheaper alternative to all the big brands successfully for a year or so.

Perhaps people dont want to give up their secrets?

sorry, want to spend sub 100 pounds or there abouts.
Basically not to 250+ for a hope or exposure bar mounted outfit.

Ordered today a satin black no decal C456.
Managed to get a cheap 2011 RockShox RLT 140mm off ebay for under 300 brand new to go with it.

Re-using a 2008 Shimano and SRAM X9 mix of components and old Jiucy brakes.

Will post a piccy next week once built up.
