yes it's great, totally clear blue skies here in Wales, usually scores of vapour trails.

just wish I could get up top of the mountain to see the sunset going to be a cracker I'm thinking

frikken awesome idea I'd buy one if sub £100 for a bit of fun in the snow, be good for dragging the sledge back up the hill for the little ones plus good winter training when weather too bad to go up the mountains for real

tyre clearance is fine I have a 2.2 conti rubber queen on the back and there's room to spare and the conti seems bigger than a regular 2.2.

as for top tube I'm 6ft 2" and ride a large and it feels fine, my mate who's 6ft 5" rode it and commented how roomy it was, add a layback seatpost and there'll be tons of room fella

got a cheap £19.99 trekmates one from TK Max this week for a bothie trip coming up in case it's full.

Guess it's not going to be the best but will get me out of the worst of the weather at a reasonable cost

I like this idea, surely if a window was allowed to take into account mechanicals etc and was maybe text based I think it would work.

usually when you text back you will be home or lower level and have network coverage.

Then using the tracking above if you didn't reply in the given time a call to be made to a nominated number to cover any flat batteries etc and if no response or confirmation of "home safe" a alert to the relevant services would be made.

As was said if it saves one life it must be worth exploring the options,

    SUFR

as and when you need some test dummies I'd gladly help you out

I've used dailies for pasy 10 years, always wear clear lense glasses as my eyes stream with staring at the trails.

carry a couple for emergencies and have a tiny sample size bottle of saline in my first aid kit as an eye wash – belt and braces and all!!!

it's a all weather type trail however there will be muddy sections but that's part of the fun.

There's been and is a fair bit of trail maintenance going on at Afan maily during the week, they have been smoothing out ruts and stuff for the better.

Also plenty of trees to hide under when the rain hits big styleee!!

If you try any where in S.Wales it will be the same

If it's too much enjoy the cafe

I use them a fair but for bits and bobs, check online price go in store and ask them to match the online price which they do without question, really nice stores and really friendly staff who really know there bikes.

huge range of stuff so I understand if they have some out of stocks as the are a ultimately still a bikeshop not a huge distribution supercentre of bike bits.

Maybe it's our demand for immediate supply nowadays that frustrates us waiting for stock.

I remember ordering a mavic paris-dakar wheelset from Dave Brooks bikes in Abergavenny in 1986 and having to wait 6 weeks for them, but they are brill and still going strong on my retro bike – well worth waiting sometimes

have you thought of a Spaniel?? Spring/cocker

some say they are nuts but depends on training.

My family have had labs for past 20 years and they're brilliant, why do you think there are so many about?

Look as them as Spesh dogs – good but everyone has one.

Have friends who have German Shepards and they are lovely too, daft as brushes and great with kids – again down to training. Just remember they're big dogs.

    Exercise 5 days a week??

    What about the other 2??

one question did you ask them to mask it off???

    they probably didn't realise.

Just take your time reaming the threads out and your steed will be back as good as new.
