I like changing tyres depending on the weather as I can escape to the shed and fettle.

I have run firepro xc, highrollers both nice, conti m/king on front and r/queen on rear bouncy and loads of protection.

for summer, now going to try a Nobby Nic up front and a maxis medusa that is slightly worn to give me grip if a bit of moisture but will run like a slick 😆

and if that combo is no good as some one has said before I have a ton of spare tyres in the shed so can mix and match

I agree electronics are only for back ups!

I can read maps/compass/stars etc but appreciate the benefit a piece of technology may bring to an emergency situation.

Assuming it works when called into action of course

would anyone consider carrying a spot as a piece of essential kit???

Yes, I know back in the day we used to ride without a phone etc and notify someone where you are going etc?

    seems a good idea??

    all of the above creams

all down to skin being hot and sweaty and in constant damp conditions so the creams create a barrier.

had this with both girls especially during teething, be liberal with the cream and it will go away really fast and the little dude will be happy again 🙂

ring the hospital and ask to speak to the surgeons secretary she/he maybe able to get the surgeon to call you herself to discuss the problems you are having, after all they want good surgical outcome too.

Or speak to your GP to be referred back to the surgeon.

oh sorry forgot it was a closed unit.

I've got an old one in the garage that I use for bits.

not mint but just checked it and it pulls together on both sides.

could send you the head part for postage cost and you could try that??

have you tried stripping it down and rebuilding it – that may work?

so are they gripping both sides?

tight on one and not so tight on the other???

how stable does the bike seem when you wag it?

will a sharp tug pull it out of the rack??

or try some spray plaster stuff to seal it up – I loves the stuff 😯

if it's as deep as you say you may need a trip to casualty or GP for further attention

get to millets and get a cheap one to save your trip, chances are it'll be drier than what you got and a lot less hassle – other tents suppliers are available!!
