The mass start did seem to create a long tail back for the first few miles – perhaps it could be staggered in future to split the field up a bit?

Your not wrong we thought we were in the middle at the back of the lay-bye and expected those queuing on the road to follow through into the lay-bye to go over the start line – BUT NO!!!!!

This meant we were right at the back!!! FFS not happy at all.

Then the queue up the first singletrack was ridiculous, in previous times I have done this the route went the other way so plenty of climbs etc on the road to spread the field out!!

    rant over!!

Enjoyed the day out though and especially the last cheeky descent where that low tree was – lovely

Yes I have struggled this year, since I bust my knee just got lazy.

Had a slack 6 months got into running and got fitter :D

But recently seems to have come back as we’ve established a local group of 10+ who ride on a Wednesday eve and have been really enjoying it. Rode the Brecon Beast today and really smashed me about as lacked the endurance for a ride this length since my knee injury

this is going to be our next family vehicle, we currently have a Renault Grand Scenic which is fab, 7 seats, size of a mini van, hauls kids, dogs, bikes, loads of crap etc. OK it’s not the best driving etc and bits fall off it but it’s going strong so far.

So once the kids get bigger the van idea really appeals as they’re stuff gets bigger too etc.

alternative to the VW really appeals but they are tempting but the price puts me off

well we and the doctors thought she had severe arthritis but when the treatment for that was not working and her neck muscles failed she was referred to a Neuro consultant who ran tests and confirmed it was MND, the rest is history.

We know believe Mum just gave up and willed her life away :(

If you want to see what MND does to you watch this, be warned it is truly shocking

My father in-laws uncle Andrew Wood, he was a gunner but we don’t know exactly what position, he was sadly was shot down.

Maybe he could be a Mid-upper Gunner on Aircraft B as knowing Ambrose I would think that we could be connected in such a bizarre way in a past life

thanks for the replies, never insured the past 3 dogs I’ve had and probably saved a mini fortune over the past 20 years by doing so.

The wife is worried about the little blighter so may do it for peace of mind.

So is lifetime cover the best to go for???

I have never tried it to be honest, prefer a framebag, handlebar harness, seat pack set up.

These would be your best bet so you could strap them on to the pannier rack using the loops.
