    Cheers Gents, thought as much.

Back to original plan of connect/caddy life. Just need to find a cheap one now!

Cheers for the comments/pics, looks like one bike would probably have to go on the roof.

I’d never tow anything with it so wouldn’t be an issue.

I’ll probably end up going for something a bit bigger. Custom/vivaro/traffic etc…

Trouble is they’re all a cocking fortune at the moment.

Bit late to this but, does anyone have the 5 seat lwb/grand connect? I can’t for the life of me find the dimensions of the boot space!

Need to keep seating for 5 and fit 1 adult bike, two kids bikes (1 20 and 1 24 inch) and a push chair. Plus the usual couple of bags of bits.

Have a got a chance of fitting them in?

Or should I be saving up for a crew cab custom.

Other half will need her car some days, her parents are locked in for 12 weeks now, so will need shopping taking.

New job is working on wind turbines so hopefully won’t be affected.

    Was buying cash.

My mate’s just been told he won’t be working for a while so offered to pay his van finance for a couple of months if I can use it. Helps him, helps me.

Seems the best solution at the moment.

    it’s for

    SRAM Guide Brakes.
    Shimano XT shifter M8000 range.

I’m tempted to wait for the shifter to turn up and get some measurements and get a CAD drawing done to have one made.

Work very kindly bought me a 140 sport LWB crew cab, It’s fantastic.

If only being used for bikes you’d get away with the SWB, looked a the vauxhall too. Renault was higher spec, Sat Nav etc.. and about a grand cheaper.

“Forgot” to mention to the wife that’d had fish and three for lunch.

Has now insisted we head to the chippy for tea.

    I may die.

    Cheers for looking blader!

I’m back up that way next week might ride the route tomorrow. If I get chance.

Drove from nursery lane, past the school, past sainsburys, up and over the roundabout, onto Scott Hall Road, down to stratstone BMW left there, past the old jaguar garage then left, right, left to tobbell electrical.

If anyone fonds this I’ll be amazed.

Wife has a fabia estate, monte carlo special edition (no chrome all black, GPS, bluetooth) was less than 12k new (2 years ago so “old” shape now)

Excellent build quality, nice to drive, massive boot for its size, bit noisy on the motorway, bike goes in without wheel with one seat down.

Can’t really fault it for the money.

Ford Transit Tourneo Grand Connect (some combination of those words)

Not quite at the same snazziness level but incredibly practical (still has a boot with 7 seats in) work has one and its a surprisingly good drive

    Can you get 26+ tyres?
That I would assume would go in a 650b frame?
May as well add another size

That nomad looks mint. Like a pedal powered pit bike.

    How does it ride?

Beat me to it. I’ve also just ordered a set of DS25’s they apparently are releasing a 27mm in 4-6 weeks.

I would imagine they’ll wait until this month’s 15% off wheels offer ends before releasing anything new.

Clearly wheelset not a whelkset, although that does sound interesting.

Has anyone found the wtb Aysm rims/whelkset in stock anywhere?

Specialized apparently have some on the way.
Spoke to a lad in a concept store yesterday.
He reckoned around £40 a tyre.

I assume they’ll come through as the plus bikes do.

    v9gss

Correct that, to 25.5 internal, 29 external

Superstar have 15% pre-built wheelsets for August they’re 25mm internal come in at £157 they get decent reviews and are apparently good up to 2.8 tyres?

I assume this means 2.8 plus tyres would go on, although I’d imagine a lot rounder than pics above.

Codes EMAILWHEELAUG for anyone who’s not got it.

Stans flow ex are apparently 29mm internal now.

I’m after a pair of these for my trail full sus.

Might get some big tyres and give them a go on the 29er ht first.

    v9gss

Who makes a 35mm then? Might be more appropriate for a 29er conversion?

Chain reaction have the scraper in stock (or did last week)

Cheers gents, only just checked back, wasn’t expecting that amount of reply.

I’m reckoning £400 wheels + tyres on upgrade. (I might have to wait until there’s cheaper options or just buy a second hand fat bike for the same money)

The kinesis frame I have is a 2012, I wouldn’t mind finding somewhere with a set in stock just to see what clearance I get.
