im running a 90 mm on my 26er, the new ones a 70 I think!

the syncros bars have a back sweep to them as well which the truvativ noirs on my 26er doesn’t have! I may trim them to 680 and see how I get on! I suppose its about getting used to it?

I’ve been running basic wire bead cx pro’s on mavic aksium rims for about 6 months issue/burp free! Run em at 35 psi, they are a good tyre I think!

Used a compressor to inflate them initially onto the rim!

I had the bike on my stand, literally just moved pistons back, and put new pads in, didnt do nowt with the pad contact adjustment as i find it doesnt do much anyway! When i pressed the lever after this it just goes pretty much all the way to the bar. brakes work, but full lever travel is used as opposed to before when it was a light press, and full power…

    Bloody avids…..

I’ll try an elastic band on the lever, failing that i’ll have it bled!

I spent a small fortune building a pace RC200 F3 – a bike i’d always wanted to own BITD. Middleburn cranks, Hope hubs, Pace forks/bars etc.. a real nice bike. only issue was iwas worried about the frame cracking or something like that happening, i only rode it about 3 times so it was sat there in the garage gathering dust! Got rid in the end, but part of me wishes i’d kept hold!

6 of us did this in 2009, went over hartside summit, whinlatter, rookhope on to sunderland etc.. stayed in the bunkhouse which after 6 pints of guinness in the rookhope inn wasnt too bad!

the woman who owns it is definately not all there…

good crack if theres a few of you!

anyone used the high5 extreme powder?

i usually stick a full sachet in a 750ml bottle. sometimes i’ll finish it if its a longer ride, if its a relatively shorter ride but loads of hard climbing etc, i’ll not get through a full one.

gonna definately try torq i have heard good reports, maybe the zipvit caffeine gel for racing!

They are cheap, but for what you save you lose outon customer service. They were awful to deal with when trying to sort a corsa out they had sold my dad.. Lost logbook etc… Absolute nightmare to deal with!

I sell minis for a living, have done for 10 years, we get paid on customer satisfaction etc.. But it works cos people always come back if they get looked after IME

FWIW I’m running mk2 with wire beads on both my MTB’s Tubeless with stans fluid and found them very easy to seat and inflate using a compressor, run em at 30psi with plenty of grippage!!

Had this problem on Saturday at the csp cx in clitheroe, got to the top of the hill on lap one, remounted and it snapped, I was fuming!

Im on a run of bad luck at the minute with another one a few weeks ago at Bolton!

Tried spraying silicone dashboard shine all over the drivetrain which worked on wetter courses. However the leaves and grass still get stuck in there, so having a spare bikes the way to go!

I did it yesterday, for the second year. This time I really enjoyed it!
Was talking to some sound people on the way round which helps!
