Colour scheme is a bit gobbing on that one!

Ive spent a bit of time on the 2010 bikes already and they ride fantastically well, just some of the colour schemes on some models are a little 'euro'. Jim Walker are bringing them in this year and the first drop should be here mid-late November.

Model above that the kern s1 is much better looking:

Steel hardtail is also pretty euro but very cool at the same time!

The tool you have pictured will only screw in so far (be aware its a left hand thread and doesnt remove the cranks). Once its in position you then unscrew the 8mm crank bolt out which comes into contact with the removal tool and pulls the arm off the splines.

I went to a zoo the other day, all they had was one dog. It was a Shih Tzu.

Did you hear about the magic tractor? It turned into a field.

Lovely bikes – colour is better in the flesh too.

Not sure how Orange have done it either but there Alu HT's this year stack up incredibly well VFM wise against all of the competition so you no longer have to pay a premium for the Orange badge. As an off the peg HCHT there isnt much close.

Biggest problem you will probably face is availability. Not sure what any one elses situation is like – but bought in quite heavily on these at the start of the year and they have nearly all gone, ordered some more a few weeks ago and i wont see most of them until March.

Fox transition is a nice little lid. In-moulded like a normal helmet so much lighter than a normal PP.

729 on a pro2 hub would have to be a custom build. Ill be honest, with the price of spokes at the moment we would struggle to match the price offered by crc/merlin on something like this. Merlin builds are always pretty solid too.

Weve got the 721/Pro2 HH's in stock but everyone seems to be split on which of these two rims is better!

My knees are pretty screwed and so tend to use 661 evo knee's for most riding – hardly notice them now when pedalling.

On the other hand – i very very rarely wear gloves when riding, be it xc/4x or dh it just feels wrong. Sometimes have to give in on cold winter rides but most of the time i prefer to suffer the cold and feel in control!

Think the travel spacer they come with is 20mm (therefore dropping to 130mm). Cant recall if it is but if its just a solid bar spacer rather than a chamfered one (like the fox ones). Then you could cut this to any length you like and in theory run any travel.

Ton – let me know how the Rev's ride on the BP – might chuck a set on our demo bike. Ive also dropped a note onto your order ok'ing the work delivery address even though its your first order. 😉

Chakaping: Wont be any big deals on the Teams – Just the usual 10-15% online savings. Bought the Race's in bulk to be able to do at this offer price.

    Hi Hugh

Glad the forks arrived quickly and safely for you. 🙂

The Race is Identical to the team other than having standard MoCo damping rather than the BlackBox Moco. Its also a bit lighter which is always nice!

Fozzy thats a great price for the 09 versions – ive got a set of these myself and they are awesome forks but the ones we have on offer are the new 2010 150mm travel versions.

You can still pick them up for £399 at a few places

Not with the new decals and colours. They look lovely. And Tange Prestige hmm?

Mine's outside work at this moment, calling to me…

    Yes you can 😉

New finish on the '2010' tange prestige frames is 10000000x better than the old columbus ones.

    Looks lovely in orange too:

Not ridden one yet but already sold one to a customer as a replacement for his old Columbus (2007) one and he says he prefers the new one – although im sure a lot of that is down to the new bike placebo effect!

I do indeed work at/for Rutland but at present this is my own personal account and anything i post on here is my own opinion and not those of said shop! Hence why i have no mention of it in my name 😀

If it makes the mods feel any better they can happily change it to luke@rutland as i try not to upset too many people anyway!

Deluded – list is £495 although im aware of a few online places doing 20% off and can certainly match/beat those. Ive got some green ones too but ive not opened the boxes yet so couldn't tell you if they are Tange or Columbus (CRC site says they are 2010 and columbus.. who knows!). Will have a look today and confirm.

Ned – not had a spin yet but should have some more spacers today so i can get the steerer trimmed and have a little 'roll round the carpark' 😉

    R8 Frame only is £549.

Both full bikes come with 100mm forks. Id pop 120s in it… but i run 120s on a Whyte 19 Carbon..

I had a spoon (and im definitely in the skinny arsed dudes camp) and it cut me in half.

Its simple, is no such thing as comfortable or uncomfortable saddle, its your arse and its different shape to everyone elses on here, so try a few and see which works best or stick with what you know.

Longevity wise, SDG's and WTB's have always held up pretty well for me (i use Devo SLT's almost elusively now on any of my bikes im planning to sit down on!) tried a couple of Gobi's (new and old shape)but never kept them long enough to be able to judge this as they were both pretty rough on my arse 😀

Latest ones ive had through are now Canadian Built (well it says on the box!) Tange Prestige tubing with over lacquered graphics. Huge improvement in the finish over the old Columbus one.

Definitely no 18"'s im afraid, we got quite a few but they were pretty heavily skewed towards 16s and most the of 18s were pre sold to staff/regulars before they ever arrived.
