If your overly worried then get 36 floats / lyrik solo air and if it doesn’t work out as you would like on the zesty space down to 140mm, then if/when you need a new frame you can crank them back up to 160.

Take the bolt out and go and do some intervals 😆

Yup, the older silver version tended to come on forks as a left side so these might be the pictures youve seen. But yes all 2012/2013 UK aftermarket forks (other than the one exception i mentioned above) come with a RH xloc remote. So yes can be direct mounted with rear shifter (and various elixirs) on the right.

Do you mean the other way round?

Only the Revelation XX WorldCup Dual Position came in through the UK distributor with a Left sided X Loc. All other 2012s and all 2013s are right hand.

Nothing stopping you running it upside down on the other side though.

Had a few over the years:

Turner Rail which was pretty rare, also had one of a handful of Team Turner Maxxis 4x race bikes which was an absolute dream to ride, was basically a chopped up modified HL Flux.

Foes ZigZag Hardtail was certainly interesting looking and never seen many others about!

Also had 2x PDC’s – Dh-One and a 825. Dh-one was ahead of its time really in terms of BB height and HA!

Guess the rarest was probably my Intense Socom though, was done as a one off by Intense with a water transfer wrap digital camo finish. Was stunning in the flesh!

Used them for years and then switched to the TroyLee KG 5400 – probably don’t provide quite as much side protection (but they do have a solid cup) but are less than half the weight and super comfy

I think Shalimar’s quality has dropped a lot recently, have stopped going now. Spice exchange in Milton is great, also Bengal in Trentham do some very tasty stuff.

Ive used a lot of the stuff on the market The T-Bones were pretty stiff to begin with and i was initially unsure but when riding the bike they were fine. Now have some of the new Troy Lee KG 5400 ones though and they are fantastic.

Your right Loco sorry my post doesn’t read how i meant 🙂

MoCo DNA can come in XX/RCT3/RLT/RL flavours, but in terms of 2012 Aftermarket Revelations its not available in RLT or RL.. which begs the question why are they writing a review in April 2012 on a fork that cant be purchased (possible OE aside).

Its still incorrect. They talk about MoCo DNA.. this is the new damper but the only forks with this are RCT3.

There are no RLT or RLT Ti Revelations in the UK 2012 aftermarket range.

I see your point but its sensible money in relation to alternatives.

Its less than half the price of most ‘full guides’.

The seat-tube mounted version of the same guide is £90.

The BB mounted guides can have spacing/fitting issues especially with GXP chainsets and there is also the chance of rotation should you hit it.

Does the 2011 Stumpy not have a low direct mount front mech?

If it does then id recommend an E13 XCX e-type/SRAM S3. Ive been running one on my rocky msl and its been faultless, sensible money too unlike the high direct mount or seattube mounted ones.

Not saying it isnt broken but you do realise that you get a BIG apparent pressure drop when reattaching a pump to the post?

Its a pretty small air chamber so a decent percentage of the air in it is used to fill the hose/gauge on the pump when you connect it..

Nothing against Lezyne stuff ive got a multitool and its fine, but the pump design isn’t great. The thread-on system on presta valves is time consuming (especially with freezing cold hands) and also seems to have an awful habit of taking a removable valve core with it when you unscrew. Ive had it happen to me once (got rid of pump after this) and ive seen it happen to 3 or 4 others ive been riding with or in the workshop.

Ive just bought a Rocky Element MSL frame for similar stuff. Only had two rides on it (but ive had plenty to compare against) and so far im very impressed. Seriously light and stiff and is a proper blast to ride. Currently running 120mm bolt through SID’s but have just stepped down my Revs to try in it at 130mm. CRC had some at silly money but ive no idea if they have any left.
Oh and is super prrrrruuuuuuuuuuuudy too 😀

    I run 2 sets:

Goldtec am/pro competition hubs on ZTR Arch – Brass Nipples – 1670g
Goldtec am/pro competition hubs on ZTR Crest – Alu Nipples – 1460g

Both bare weights but a yellow rimstrip and valve doesnt add a lot. Both been faultless but you can feel the extra stiffness in the arch’s.

Wouldn’t it be funny if a growing number of Kashima forks were beginning to wear through the coating – and that changing the seals on the forks actually made this problem worse.. that would be an unfortunate set of circumstances ey! 😉

Stick it on the left hand side upside down.

Much better position for use in general.

I got a suit from boggi (or some something like that there), picked up a couple of shirts there too. Couldnt really complain about the service…the Italian chick that measured me up was HOT.

Had one, i much preferred it with a 140 float over an f120.. also ran it with 150mm revs but using an internal headset which gave the same height/HA as the 140s.

From memory there was about 25% of the whole range of posts that didnt come into stock on the first drop so bare in mind too that your chosen post might unfortunately be one of those!

Try “Two Wheels” in Stourbridge. I used to work for the distributor and they bought quite a few (although i cant recall exact models) about 6 weeks ago for stock.

Im with Nixon here, can definitely feel a more direct power transfer with certain cranks, worst pair i ever had were the old Shimano Hones which you could feel flexing. XTR always give decent weight/stiffness but if your on a bit less than XTR budget the RF Atlas is a pretty decent option. Deus is tough for an XC crank but if your noticing it on SLXs then the Atlas will be a better bet.
