Anyone seen how long the “baseplate” is that sticks out the bottom to protect the valve and vent thingy? Trying to work out the true total length of the post.

Its about 24mm from the very end of the main tube.

    Measurements from a 150mm post.
Bottom of collar to centre rail (min stack height) 213mm
Bottom of collar to end of tube 220m
Bottom of collar to end of baseplate 242mm

Eagle RH Controller has 2 inputs not 3.
The ‘Sprint’ shift activated with the index finger is simply linked to the upper of the two inputs on the thumb side.

40 hours is average total ride time for the post – everyone is different but id anticipate that to last me a month.

Full service interval has moved from 200 to 600 hours due to the new improved internals.

Most of the original 11sp GX went OEM pre sold. Was actually a bit tricky to get it when it first came out.

Having penned the order for a good proportion of the UK aftermarket hopefully this wont be the case this time 😆

There was an error with the setup of this part on the Fishers system which i fixed a few weeks ago, hence why they’ve been difficult to find, apologies for that. Get your LBS to contact fishers to place some on backorder, due in stock early June.

Fisher code is same as SRAM code: 11.1918.003.030
    Hub Bearing Set Front (includes 2-23327) – X0 Hubs/Roam30/Roam40/Rise 60-B1

As above you might be able to get some from the SRAM tech centre but i know they are very tight on stock too.

Why? X0 cost more than XTR previously, let alone XX! X9 has always been between XT and XTR etc. It’s basically the same price as GX.

SRAM pricing has always been odd, people try and correlate to Shimano hierarchies (which are nice and clear), but IMO that doesn’t really stack up!

Exactly this. GX with the 1000 series chainset works out at £360 RRP (Without BB) so for the first time in a long time they have 2 groupsets that line up head to head in that respect.

Same reason you haven’t got a single sram one 😆

Figured the traffic would be harsh so nipped to Chatsworth which was busy but ok. Ended up right underneath the pass line so photos aren’t the best but the noise was incredible 😆

Had a number of reverbs – always been very impressed with the function/reliability. Ive got a new 31.6 going spare at the moment as ive just found out my new frame will take a stealth.

Ive been running my full xx1 for over 5 months now and its been faultless – chains seem to stretch much less than 10spd (only just changed to a new one at .75% stretch) only used to get 3 months from a 10spd one.

As to the gearing well as a previous 1×10 user i too didnt really think id need the 42t but now ive settled with 34t up front ive effectively got 1 lower and 1 higher gear than my previous 34×11-36 setup.

Having the 34/42 bailout gear is nice especially on longer rides in the peaks where its nice to be able to spin up long steep stuff rather than grind up as i used too have too.

I’ll never be going back to 10spd or front mechs again.

Mrs v10 has just had a Mk2.5 SVT and its a great laugh, was very cheap to buy, surprisingly cheap to insure too (£7 a month more than her 1.6 megane…) and much more involving to drive than the mk3s we tried. With your budget and mileage constraints your probably looking at mk3s though in which case there are some other alternatives. S2000 or a 3.0 Z4 would be where my money was going. For some serious fun you might be able to sneak into vx220 2.2s too if you stretch to 7-8k… Tidy rag top E46 M3 can be had for the same but probably one to avoid in terms of running costs 😆

Mine eats shock bushings and the shock bolts are pretty soft but other than that it’s been solid. Cranks (170s) get the ends smashed up pretty quickly too due to the low bb.

Stu can you send me a link to the link protector, can’t find it and mines getting smashed!

You won’t regret it Boxxer, fork wise I’ve settled on revs set at 140mm. Was lightning on single track with Sid 120s but they were the first part of the bike to feel out of there depth when things got more rowdy. Revs at 150 made it feel a little bit wayward.

Only complaints are that it eats shock bushings and shock bolts. The later probably because I forget it’s only 125mm quite regularly 😀

Owned both, imo the TRc blows the ASR away in pretty much every department. Had a few crank rockstrikes on the TRc but its a small price to pay for how good it feels in the corners. The TRc does fit me better than the ASR did which will obviously go someway to forging my opinion but i think regardless of this the TRc is quicker and more fun up, along, down (and sideways :D)

    cp is correct.

Lowers/CSU on 2012 onwards SID/Reba are identical. Weight difference on SID is from:

Drilled bushings, transfer rather than vinyl decals, butted alu airshaft (steel reba) and 1 piece lighter topcap.

Also the DNA RLT cart is slightly lighter than the standard Moco one.

In terms of damping difference not a massive amount – main difference is that the Moco DNA SID will have dual flow rather than single flow rebound damping in the Reba giving slightly more controlled/improved rebound damping.

3×10 works just the same but be aware that x9/x0 spiders are slightly different (an MRP Bling ring will fit fine on either).

If youve got a 3×10 crank then a cheaper option might be to ditch the stock rings and run any non-ramped (hope/renthal etc) chainring in the middle position as they are standard 104bcd.

Toyota celica T-Sport 190? Coupe, but still sprt of a hatchback! Cheap as chips for what they are and they still look fresh.

Megane 225 is in budget but having had one of those and an R26 230 I’d be trying to find another grand for a decent r26.

Wifey bought me a Nikon fit Tamron AF70-300 F/4-5.6 LD Macro 1:2 for Christmas despite me distinctly telling her not to buy me anything bike or camera related. I’ve fired off about 30 shots with it. Image quality seems ok but nothing special – but then its a high zoom £100 lens so i wouldn’t expect it to be.

Don’t need the range and certainly don’t need the size of the thing – drop me an email if your interested.

Rear glass is 2 screws and about 40 seconds work.

Front glass is a different matter – you basically have to take the phone apart from the back to the front. took me about 1.5 hours start to finish the first time have done it quite a bit quicker since. LOTS of very small screws to remove (some including even smaller annoying washers) all with different lengths.

Plenty of guides online just set aside a decent amount of time and draw a big diagram of the inside of the phone to put each screw on as you remove it so you know which goes where.
