Honestly coucilof10, if you’re going to take the piss, you might let me know first.

The use of music to advance a right wing ideology is nothing new but it’s still pretty pathetic.

Lets start with Wagner shall we?

There’s not much in the world so sad as an unloved child who desperately seeks to fulfil himself online.

I know nickc. And at my age, I should know better! But it still brings my heart rate up and tightens my knuckles for better or waur.

Ah. So we’ve resorted to “snowflake” have we? Get stuffed.

councilof10, yes I still do thanks but at the very least, I have a life, family and people who love me. And also a thinking brain. Can you say the same?

I frequently feel stupid in discussions on this forum – a lack of understanding of UK politics despite my best efforts makes it so.

However, having made the effort to actually meet a few of them, some through work and some through curiosity, it’s clear that voting Tory is a vote against humanity.

It’s a vote for money, if you already have it. It’s a vote for the reaping of money if you don’t yet but plan to.

“…as you say at least they had conviction in their small-state beliefs and gave Westminster direction”.

You’ve confused yourself – I said nothing of the kind. Easily done in a forum of several hundred people tbf. But I won’t be mis-quoted.

He’s not an evil man, indeed, he comes across as a decent guy. The eternal, internal debate.

He’s also not unintelligent, quite amusing ( at least on Fry’s show ) and quite personable.

And that’s why he’s dangerous. I photographed David Cameron a few years ago whilst he dealt with shareholders in a major concern in Yorkshire. He had all the attributes discussed above but then you remember that his policies are reprehensible. Beyond belief.

The ability to come over as a “nice chap” whilst stabbing you in the back isn’t a skill I’d want in my bag.

Thanks renton. Enjoyed the first few months of having the place to myself but it eventually gets to you. Missed the first day of school and the loneliness creeps up on you.

If you can stand a bit of Scots, John Buchan’s ‘Witch Wood is worth leaving by thé bog.

And also, ‘The Loney’ is a recently finished book – so, so good.

Cheersmin. Yes, we did that ourselves – found damp in the back wall and had to fix it so reduced the offer.

No, we didn’t get what we wanted but we did get what it’s worth I think :-)

Which is a good deal less than we bought it for… Market forces and stuff innit.

Well, we sold the place for for just about what it’s worth, despite the location, weird photos etc.

Just got to find a house in Aberdeenshire now! Can’t wait to go home.

Like PP, I had to learn to manage without the pills. Except I don’t think I’ve found a similar set of coping mechanisms.

Tried Sertraline for half a year and found myself just not caring about anything (rather than caring far too much about everything). Came off them, started drinking again and still do! It sort of works for me.

Aye yunki, cos everyone knows that bike thieves attack children instead of getting away as fast as possible.

Civic responsibility is to be applauded in all forms. Crap thing to happen to your mate but if it’s possible to be very proud of a head wound, he should be.

Three hours in Asda. Honestly, I thought my life sucked (it does but even one hour in Ikea is unbearable).

Thanks hooli. Renting the place out is a possibility but it’s got to the point where I just want to get rid and move on with my life.

    I miss my family!

Also, we kind of need to sell the place in order to raise a deposit for a new house.

To be fair, 3 pages of STW is top internettage.

Not that I have the sense to do such a thing (I really don’t)

Tbh, I’m pretty much past caring. Done the plastering, sanding and painting, going to get the blooming Hoover out soon.

Been on the market since February :-(

Off to buy a bottle of decent whisky and await the next viewing.

Perhaps my breath is putting them off?

Soobalias, I kind of hoped you’d chip in and if you look up, I did apologise to Mr Smith.

I have a viewing tonight at 6.30, a wall to sand and paint.

Crumbs. I’ve come across as a smoking, dog-owning, unpleasant alky.

Sounds about right but still, it’s a nice house.

Sorry Mr Smith. As you can probably tell, I’m in a bad way.

Aberdeen house prices are pretty stupid and we’ve prepared ourselves. We have a 20K inheritance and we hope to get a 20K profit from this place.

If it were up to me, it’d be Aboyne, Banchory or Ballater.

    But it’s nae

Perhaps this place does smell of tabs – come round and have a sniff.

eddie11, it turns out that we don’t have to pay our current agent if they don’t sell our house.

So yes, we’re looking to change the agent.

“Prolong the sale for as long as you can!”

Aye, it kind of started like that but eventually I missed normallity. Grand to have the bikes in the living room, the dog on the sofa and bits of retro bikes in the dish washer.

I don’t smoke inside, ever, so the house smells of ladies’ candles. Honestly, I’m at a loss.

Quite. It’s not the most handsome of houses but it’s a mid-terrace 3 bed with a view to die for and priced accordingly.

Taken a 6K hit already. My reasoning is that if we’d been renting all these years, it’d have cost much more.

It’s a decent house with a nice outlook. Perhaps I’ll hire a cleaner – I refuse to pick up the mop again.

Binners. I’m struggling to understand your last post.

As an ex “bad-man”, it’s encumbent upon me to make up for all the shitty things I’ve done. I’m behooved to punish myself, donate to charities and generally berate myself until my penance is done.

All that said, it was a decent life – lots of hired cars, exotic ladies and executive flats. And the bad times obviously followed: nights in the cells, the worst hangovers in the world, behind bars, with no release date – all very much deserved.

Crumbs. My apologies for talking a load of rubbish. No more Tuesday night whisky for me.

Wednesday night whisky is ok though. Watch this space…

Let’s be honest. Breaking the law in a small way will **** you up. If you have some cash to spare and an open mind, perhaps you can make some money.

Mostly though, all decent-minded people will balk at the thought of robbing others.

I’ll take those odds other Jamie. Imho, there’s not a chance in Hell (can I say Hell here) that McConner can win under these circumstances.

I mean. Here’s a guy who’s learned to defend himself with all the corners of his bony body.

Stick him in a ring with a head full of rules and regs and we’ll see what happens.

    McGregor looks painfully slow

Aye he does.Frustratingly so. Annoyingly so. Sticking out that long left arm and then, BAM, there’s the right.

    No hurry.

    “My failed attempt at crime”

Well. I suspect that you probably sbouldn’t tell other people about it, right or wrong.

My own misdemeanours are long past, to the point of being uninteresting to the authorities.

These days, along with the rest of the human race, I make a sensible living without a club in my middle pocket.

It’s not good fun. It’s terrifying. It’s an early grave.

It’s all about cleaning the car with wet wipes before you drop it off.

These days, I’m an honest man. Wouldn’t hurt a fly and all that.
