GoPro are pretty good. Any of the new 3 range are worth while getting even the white edition. Most stuff ends up compressed on the net anyway, so do you need 4k.

I have loads of gopro stuff on my site – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk although much is kayak related the GP stuff is pretty generic.

Wrecker, my exped is mainly used in my kayak. Always water kicking around in the bottom of the boat and my kit (in the bag) always dry.

You did well getting all of the folk out of the Lake L picture!

We went from Vancouver to Whistler to Jasper to Banff to Kamloops (Sun Peaks) then a few days on Vancouver Island.

Loved Jasper and the surrounding area, the drive to Banff was great. Banff was disappointing. We moved on a day early and spent an extra night at Sun Peaks.

I have a 2010 Mac Mini. Great bit of kit and easy to upgrade. It had a 250gb HD that I soon filled up. I now have a 500gb drive in place and run a couple of 3TB WDs (one for Timemachine backups and the other for general storage).

Adding a new HD to your macbook is super simple. Lots of video guides on the net. I have done a couple. Regardless its worth taking to an Apple store for them to check out and hopefully swap out the KB.

Your SD card may be at fault for the unit freezing up. I had a similar issue with a Hero2 before changing the card. For the hero 2 you could use a class 6 or above for the hero 3 it must be class 10.

I use 32 or 64 Sandisk micro SD cards on my Hero 3 (black & silver) without issue. There are a great number of fake cards out there so be careful. I picked up a dodgy 32gb sandisk one from a Jersey based ebayer. Was swapped out without issue.

Def a difference with how it rides. I’m detecting less flex when the power is put down. I have swapped my wheels over for my other set of RQ and Flows which are setup tubeless and the bike feels great.

I have a silver and black GP3. The black was purchased from the US just before Christmas and has had no issues. I have used a good quality SD card and have made sure that when updating the firmware that all steps have been covered to the letter.

Hoses all nicely done now. The HBs have been rotated back. Just need to bleed the brakes, it was getting too cold to do them today.

Assuming its for biking the chest harness is worth getting as creates a better shooting angle than the helmet mount.

Get a good class 10 memory card, this can make a massive difference – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?p=1836

A couple of spare batteries are also worth getting. One battery will not last out a whole days ride.

GoPros free software is pretty good. I have a mac and use imovie.

Forks are 140 floats. My other soul had 140 vanillas and I like the way it rides at that angle.

Brakes are good, hoses are now shorter and routed on the inside. I have a set of X2s but prefer the M4s.

I always wrap both sides to prevent heel rub. When I sell my old frames folk seem to appreciate that.

Looking at the pic a bit more the hoses need to be shorter. I have built the Cotic from the bits that were on my SC Heckler.

I have a 1 yr old frame in black and wanted the new one in black, but am really liking the green and am happy with the choice.

I was in Bikescene on Saturday having a look at the frames. I only live 20mins away. My bikes tend to ride on the roof of the car now so being able to use a bike rack is a must.

I normally use GoPros but had a Contour +2 for test and used it on a ride this week. Due to its size/weight I mounted it on the seat tube and i worked really well with some nice shots. Facing it backwards was a great idea as the footage was pretty good. Trying different mounting points makes for a better video when you edit it all together. Editing isn’t difficult but you do need quite a bit of footage just to get a few minutes of watchable video.

I use 32GB class 10 on the whole. 16GB will probably do just as well.

I had two weeks on a teacher exchange in the states four weeks after 9/11. During my time there the school had to “lock down” because of a guy spotted with a gun on the playground. Thankfully it was a false alarm, but what was alarming was the fact that they practice for it just like we practice for fire.

Went from an Octavia VRS 170bhp TDI to a 118D M sport 144bhp. Obviously a little less room but drives really well. All the bells/whistles and cheaper than another 2nd hand same type of spec VRS!

I am hunting down a set of winter wheels at the minute as I predict it will be a mare in the snow/ice. The Octavia was crazy with its low profile 18’s

They can take the hit. If the outer case gets damaged parts can be replaced.

The curved stick on mount will be the best bet for mounting to your lid. I use mine (now a GP 3 Silver Edition) for kayaking.

I don’t normally post on education threads but this one is of interest.

I work in a large secondary with around 100 teaching staff. Some arrive just in time and leave on the bell, this does annoy me. The majority don’t do this.

Personally I leave the house before 7am and have a 10-15min drive to work. I work from the moment I get into school, through lunch time and normally get home well after 6. 7pm has become the norm. I am on the SLT so don’t have as much planning as others, my partner teaches more classes than I currently have and spends at least 5-6 hours on a weekend planning/marking/prep.

Our school has just moved to a new build. During the summer I had one day off and worked two of the weekends to ensure that the move was successful. I don’t know how much harder I could work.
