I’ve just upgrade my Pro 2 from QR to 12mm. After a bit of research I saw that there was a change in the axel design due to breakages. I purchased a new axel from CR and it fitted the new profile.

Is the Bip more like a click? If so the drive is damaged. Whether or not you will be able to retrieve files I don’t know.

Sent my renewal bit and bobs off (after the online app) two weeks ago. The new passport arrived earlier this week. Just under a two week turn around.

Our local telco had some pretty good deals on Sandisk cards. It may be the same elsewhere. Most were 1/2 price or less.

Lots of fake cards out there particularly on auction sites.

Having a great deal of success with lexar 633 cards at the moment – using them in my GoPro Hero 3+ which requires a pretty robust card. My thoughts on cards here – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?p=13140

You need the lock unlocked and use the blank key in the pack. This pulls all of the metal tabs in. It should then slide into slot without issue.

I have a 3 and 3+ both Black editions. No issues at all.

Had a silver 3 with an issue and sorted by GoPro really quickly, even though unit was over a year old and I had no receipt.

£244 is pretty good. A new version is no doubt out later this year, but another will be out a year later etc….. I’d get one now for that price.

Thomson is available as covert has been for a number of weeks. Ordered one from i-ride directly. Used an external one and loved it. Worked really well. decided on a covert version for my new frame. Despite much fettling the post would drop a little after each time it was raised. Similar issues being reported by a few riders in the US. Sent mine back received a refund.

Hammocks are great. But can take a night or two to get used to.

Raise the foot end a few inches above the head end as this makes a world of difference. Sleep on the diagonal if you can as this is the flattest way to sleep.

Cold backside is an issue even in warm climates. If the hammock is a double layer you can place a sleeping mat or even spare clothes to keep you back warm. Alternatively you could rig an under quilt, which is a insulation slung underneath the hammock so your body doesn’t compress it. Get a good tarp as well. Makes a world of difference.

    Some ideas here – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?s=hammock&submit=Search

I have got rid of the cycle multi tool a few years back as they were either difficult to use or were low quality/made of cheese. This included a crank bros and hexus.

    I now carry:
3 Bondhus allen keys to cover the bolts on my bike
A weatherman skeletool which is good and light weight, two screw driver bits are part of the unit
    A park mini chain tool

I have got all the bases covered and the tool are of a good quality and work!

Class 10 yes but not all class 10 have the same transfer rates. You need the fastest possible is using 2.7k or 4k settings. My thoughts on SD cards – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?p=1836

I have replaced my cards with the Lexar 633x series

There are deal to be had. The Black 3+ RRP is £359 you can find them for less than £300 UK stock with UK warranty. Hargroves is the best deal I have seen lately.

There is a little chatter about the Version 4 landing soon. Given that they are floating on the stock market it would make sense to launch a new product to boost sales shortly after.

There is an app for the iPhone that allows you to view the shot angle on the GoPro. This works with any wifi enabled camera – 3 or 3+ It has a two second delay which isn’t too bad.

I’ve tried a few of ebay but have settled on the GoPro one as it seems the best. I may have chosen a couple of bad options.

You can pick the proper ones up for less than £30. http://amzn.to/Rg70Ji

GF has a 06 golf. We had a similar issue with returning to a car with a flat battery. Turns out there is an issue with radios spontaneously switch on. Only noticed it when we had returned back to the car and could hear the music. VW replaced the radio as it was a well documented fault.

Granville Island. Walked there from gas town. Pub next to the ferry terminal in Gas Town is great.

Stanley Park is a must. Bike or skate hire is available.

    Wear one.

I dont paddle without one. Even if on the flat instructing. You can always get clipped by someones elses paddle if in a group and you never know how deep the water is all of the time.

I bought one from ebay and it works really well.

Some heavy duty rubber strips could be fastened in place.

Looking for another Black or Black 3+ myself hoping to get a deal post Christmas.

    Black Hero 3 under £250 http://amzn.to/1bQWA8j
    Silver Hero 3 under £198 http://amzn.to/19qdLdW

Not seen many deals on the 3+ other than £10 off.

A quick search of ebay doesn’t really through up anything better. Some 3+ are actually above RRP.

Dogcams and Action cameras have no great discounts either.

I have a Silver 3 (new warranty replacement camera and battery + lightly used kit) for sale if a silver 3 would fit the bill.

Rickt, I’ve been running similar for over a year on my Black 3. No issues.

Just ran an SD test on one of my cards and pulled over 40MB/s.

I’ve been using GoPro kit for years and although plastic the handlebar mount is pretty good. I’ve used in on my bike and kayak.

Despite being plastic it is tough. No issues to date.

I’ve bought a few mounts form enay in the past and to be honest the fit hasn’t been good. The cameras never quite clicked in correctly. A mate of mine has some made in this country, CNC’d and they are perfect (http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?p=6771)

Ive got lots of GoPro related posts on my kayak site – http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?cat=27 many will be of use to all GoPro users.

Be careful at supermarkets. They usually only have Class 4 or 6 cards. There will be a number on the front of the card in a circle, this indicates the class speed. You may get lucky and have a supermarket that sells class 10.

PC world, maplins or a phone shop will be your best bet but you’ll pay more than online.

I have bought loads of tools over the years but really only use the following –

A range of Bondhus (they make park stuff) allen keys that fit the bits on my bike. Less than £10 if you shop round – http://amzn.to/19Mmtqq £10

Park External Bottom Bracket Tool – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/park-tool-external-cup-bb-hollowtech-ii-tool/rp-prod4062 £16

Good quality cable cutters. I use Park – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/park-tool-cable-cutters-cn10/rp-prod7202 £22.50

That’ll take you to £48.50 or there a bouts. You’ll probably already have a range of screwdrivers. Syringes from ebay etc are super cheap along with some tubing from a petshop will make up a goof bleed kit.

8mm and 10mm spanners I find super useful for bleeding brakes and other bits.

A great deal depends on your bike and what kit of kit can be fitted. But you can create/make tools for pressing/removing headsets/pressfit bottom brackets.
