GF has a Trance in XS. It barely fits in a planet X bag which are the same as the CRC ones. Go for a DHB bag from wiggle. Fits my large SC Heckler with Lyriks with ease.

Petra cycles have the 2.2 listed with black chilli and a higher price to reflect the additional compound.

It does. Do your 2.2’s have the black chilli compound. Different sites seem to have conflicting statements as to whether the 2.2’s do or don’t.

I looked at one of these a while back. A search of some of the US forums showed there had been some issues with the system. I decided not to pursue getting one.

Oakleys – all are ballistic spec. SI spec if you can get them.

A hammock. Can be strung up between vehicles etc if needed, way more comfortable than the floor/kip mat. Not one of those nasty string type ones though. Google DD hammocks.

    Altimeter – SUUNTO

Thermals, decent socks, head torch, Garmin wrist GPS

All of above is stuff my mates in the marines found worth while.

Did that one a couple of years back. Must have been the hottest day of the year. The tarmac was seriously melting. Supped 6L of water during the ride (managed to fill up the camelbak at the 1/2 way point). Almost saw me off. Haven’t been back!

Head a little further North towards Hawes or even Reeth and you’ll find loads of great stuff to have a go at.

South Side – Malham, and the Mastiles Road, it’s a must!

Silicon cover and screen protector. It lives in small roll top stuff sack when I’m biking. Its water resistant enough to deal with down pours.

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this but if you think teaching is secure job, think again. Falling birth rates are starting to work there way through the system. Many schools in my local area (three different education authorities) are closing school both primary and secondary to cope with the drop.

If you want to teach because you want to work with kids and help them and not because it’s a secure job then great. Unfortunately I know a few people who have joined the profession for the wrong reason and have had a serious shock.

Big agnes seed house. Picked one from ebay. Not well known in the Uk so you can grab a bargain. Cotswolds had a deal on the North Face tadpole. If you go for the tadpole check out the two different version carefully.

Did any one clean the Fremington Edge ascent?

Nice to see you took in Surrender Ground. One of fave descents from the spoil heaps. Spend most weekends out that way. Just 40mins from home. You had a good day for it.

Is your line a curve or is it straight? I presume your trendline is a line that is drawn at a tangent to the curve.

No its correct. Mountain hardwear. They make some great kit. I have a mens conduit jacket for sale in the Classified section. I don’t think the jacket she was wearing was from this years range though.

    Remove shock.
    Remove pinch bolts.
Remove pivot bolts (use a good quality allen key)
Push the axle out (you may need to coax it out with a mallet)
Assuming you have released all cable and brake hoses you should be able to swing the arm out from the front triangle.

I have a 11L for day to day riding. Its been plenty big enough over the winter as well. It is THE best fitting pack I have owned. Apart from the 33L litre one I have. I would say from the two I have that the 22L would be a pretty good size for the additional kit you will be carrying. The 33L may be too big. I use the large back size.

Fitted a new HD in an ibook G3 last weekend £50 for 160GB. Cloned the old HD onto the new and then swapped them over. Quite a lot of screws to undo but not difficult. http://www.ifixit.com have some really good guides.

We had one, the inner foam not the memory part broke down. The mattress wouldn’t recover back to its normal shape. After loads of research went for a madrid model from bedlum beds. foam top and bottom and springs inbetween. This means it can be turned and flipped and will therefore last longer. Picked up a KS mattress for £430 or there abouts.

I tend not to bother with cycle specific “waterproof” jackets anymore. I just go for a short climbing harness cut mountaineering jacket. Currently using a Mountain Hardwear model bought in blacks sale last year. It’s a nice close cut, the hood is big enough to go over my Giro Xen and its waterproof.

You could do the PGCE route or if you still need to earn the Graduate Teacher programme may be better for you. I have been heavily involved in assessing GTP students over the last few years (both primary and secondary). Science is still on the shortage list. Applications for the GTP is usually around the Nov/Dec time with a start in the following September. For secondary you need GCSE English & Maths at a grade C or above. For primary you need to add Science to that list.
