Same here. Discovered our watchman was not correctly sync’d.

Not much left. Called over 20 places yesterday. Anyone know of a firm in the NE prepared to sell 25l drums of the stuff to get us through to the 4th of Jan.

1st year means that you’ve must have been at uni for only a matter of weeks.

Going to uni was a big change for me, I didnt really enjoy the 1st term or so because it was so different from being at home.

However after the 2nd term I was loving it and by year 4 (Teaching degree) I would have happily stayed on.

Yup, been there. Done the whole spending every holiday fixing or changing something – bathroom, kitchen, rotten joists etc etc. Just moved out from an older house to a new build. It’ll still need things doing, but its good to have a short break from the DIY

I’m an Assistant Principal at a large 11-16 school. My advice would be get the police involved. If they say its a school matter push them a little and they’ll pick it up and charge the lad.

The video would be helpful but witness accounts would be more than enough. The file can easily be recovered from the phone. To be honest it would have probably been sent to various other phones around the school within secs of it being filmed. It may or may not appear on youtube at some point.

2nd hand prices on the VRSs are sky hi. I have a 57 TDI. Make sure that you check for –

delaminating windscreens (mainly cosmetic but have seen some that have been really bad),
uneven wear on tyres particulary on the back,
DPF software update should have been done recharging and limp mode not an issue
water in the spare wheel well (its either a dodgy door seal or the washer pipe has popped off, if its the later check for corrosion on the lock)

Check out what kind of servicing it has been on an what oil has been used.

Check out Briskoda.net for all things Skoda.

Been using mine with a et of Lyrik Uturn coils. Run them at 140 for uphill and the full 160 for the downs.

Just changed to a set of 2011 Fox Van 36 RC2’s!!

Had mine for almost three years. Mine is a 2.0 TDI. MKII

The best car I have had. Would get another without hesitation. GF has a golf. The Octavia is way better.

2002 will be mark 1. Should be good for a few thou more miles. Get it checked out before you shake on the deal.

Pragmasis are excellent to deal with. Great service and advice. I have a range of security products from these guys, plus an alarmed garage. Alarm is always armed for garage even when we are in.

Mate had four bikes nicked a few years back after a gang tailed him home. The crims were followed after they had stolen the bikes. The police were called and they recovered the four bikes plus around 20 more from the same address in Darlington.

I have been using a pair for the last few years. They have the sealed bearings. They haven't missed a beat. My new bike will also have a set.

Pragmasis are great to deal with. I have a 13mm and two 11mm chains from them.

I have a solid brass squire stronghold SB50CS padlock for sale (brand new) fits both the 13 and 11mm chains.

I moved from the BA seedhouse to the MSR Hubba Hubba. The Seedhouse was a nice tent but the porch arrangement meant that if the fly was wet and the door open that water would drip into the main sleeping area of the tent. Not good. If sticking with BA then the Copper Spur would be a better option.

For the tarp try an OES one from the states – http://www.outdoorequipmentsupplier.com/

Tent – try a MSR Hubba Hubba or Vaude Hogan or Taurus.

Rab sleeping bags are my preferred choice because I need a nice wide bag at the shoulder. If you go to the factory shop on Weds or Thurs after 12pm you can pick up some great deals.

Rucksack – i'm a big fan of Osprey as they fit me well. Lowe Alpine, and POD (same company as RAB) are another good bet.

I personally would take the job. Mortgage free within a couple of years. Savings in the bank. If in a large Army base I'd be quite happy, plenty of facilities. If in a forward operations base for 10 weeks at a time under attack on a regular basis then I'd be wanting a gun just in case.

Not sure my other half would be too happy.

I used to carry a topeak hexus as well as a Leatherman wave. I have ditched the hexus in favour of three good quality allen keys – a 4mm, 5mm and 6mm.

I always found the multitool tools very short and difficult to use. Especially as mechanicals always seem to occur when your exposed to the elements or the midge and you cant afford to faff about.

EX729's are bomb proof. I used a pair laced to hope hubs for a few years. Was ready to build another set but moved to tubeless and never got around to it.

I have two grey 729 rims for sale. One unused and the other built then unbuilt but never ridden.

I have a Bosch washing machine that will be available in a week or two when we move house as the new place has an integrated one.

I'd have another Bosch one no issue. We have a bosch dish washer that has also never missed a beat.
