This is half of my short list too. Also on are Transition Covert, and Meta AM.

I’m going for the longterm too, but thinking of going retail for the after care/warranty ease…

There’s a button, when your Rage meter is full the pulsing, you can push it and you go batsh*t mental and batter anyone with in a few yards.

Machattes, bats, sickles etc are keepers, and get ontop of cars if you need a breather and are surrounded.

I got Max Payne 3 in the Steam sale earlier, first impressions are of massivley over excited awesomeness…

30 Gig download though… took a while as had to do it at night to not max out my limit.

Hmmm, maybe, Wine’s no bother, always a few nice bottles in, and only really looking for people nearby.

Also I’m considering just buying frame and bits seperately… which would rule that out, unless I sent both back…

We just got one by Philips which is actually pretty good (basically enable fast easy no fuss ironing). When I get home will get the model no.

I might be being a fool but that seems like more hassle to me…

But I’ll bear it mind, as I hadn’t thought of it previously and it may be the only way

Its worth persisiting with, after a while you’ll get a few good weapons, that you keep repairing and modding a bit. Its a very ambitious game that doesn’t quite pull it off, but it took me a long time to get bored of throwing machetes into zombies heads…

But it doesn’t explain the goals very well to begin with and I struggled to work out what was going on/i was supposed to be doing in the first few scenes.

Bob Servant was adapted for Radio 4 with Brian Cox as Bob, and it was bloody brilliant! It was called the Bob Servent Emails… I imagine if there was such a thing as naughty internet things called bittorrents, or something, you might find it there… If you were naughty… but you shouldn’t be naughty, Mkay?

You can taste the difference when boiling water is poured on ground coffee (well i can), it tastes burned. But so long as you do it to your own coffee though and not mine, then have at it by all means.

To make espresso you fire boiling steam

    must resist…

through the ground coffee. And to make any kind of coffee in a machine you first must make a shot of espresso.

huh? Even a perculator??? Making any sort of espresso based coffee you must.

Interestingly unless camping I never use a stovetop maker as I don’t think the coffee tastes very nice at all…

I work on the basis that as the water pours and passes through the air it will loose a couple of degrees…

Also tap water has impurities and the process of vapourising does begin before boiling point, vigerous boiling is 100 as the tempterature cannot go any higher, there will still be bubbles down to low 90s.

Hang on a sec – how long exactly should you leave the boiled water before pouring into your jug?

Until its not boiling anymore. [has stopped bubbling]

    fill with boiling water

NOoooooo! not boiling water, by all means preheat the jug, (if you really want to), but let the water sit after boiling (or ideally don’t quite let it boil), as boiling water will burn the coffee and spoil the taste. Coffee is not like tea, which A) must have boiling water poured over it and B) is vile.

Our kettle has a different button for coffee so it switches off before it boils.

When did the world get so down on the cafetiere? I make perfectly nice coffee in one, Mug coffee, for wandering about the house with or drinking while having a fettle. treat coffee from the expresso machine.

I agree with Northwind, loved the Earthed series, great mixture of purpose filmed shots and loads of world cup goings on. And fantastic music. And far less rpetentious than some recent stuff. I didn’t mind Life Cycles but the voice over was grating on me by the end.

    Shouldn’t it be X1?

That’s my main issue with it, pedant that I am, XX1 is 21!!! Other than that I’m not too bothered, internal cable routing has solve many front mech issues for me, I do like single ring set ups, but I’ll wait before jumping up to this, see if it sticks around, or we’re all running XX2 XX11 or whatever in three years time…

Curious about these breathalysers, going on the price are they like the old ones, straw full of crystals and a poly bag ?

Yes they are. I’m interested as to what happens if you use it, find you are OK to drive (surely the point of the thing) and are then pulled over???

Taylors’s Lazy Sunday has a low caffiene level…

Sainsbury’s own Italian is very passable, green packet IIRC. I think very low caffeine coffees are often not very nice, just make a smaller slightly weaker cup of good coffee would be my advice.

Although, to be honest, if you got Pixar to make it, it would probably be the best thing ever.

Errrr… didn’t their live action space thing bomb horribly?

Directors, I fancy Paul Thomas Anderson, and Marc Forster.

Soundtrack, bored of Williams… but a score by **** Buttons? Might help give a post industrialist feel.

How can you possibly say that? Harrogate planning department seem to have one rule, anything being built must in no way fit with any of its surrounding buildings.

And having lived in vibrant towns and cities I’m always struck when I come back by how empty Harrogate is on a night, mostly due to their being no pubs or bars around the pedestrianised area.

Harrogate is the place of the devil, only a fraction of it is as picturesque as the very carefully framed pictures would have you believe, and people bigging up its nightlife makes me snort with laughter, after 5pm its a ghost town. Go to Hawes, Wensleydale is beautiful, loads of stuff nearby.

    dubstep??? are you confused?

I am anyway, Bellamy has a massive vocal range, but here barely moved from outside one uninspiring semi octave… kept expecting him to launch into something, or the music to launch into something, or something to happen. But then it stopped and it was over and nothing ever did…

EDIT: All mass production salt is rubbish, rough crushed sea salt put in natural organic tubes by local natives in the traditional way taught by their ancestors is the only proper salt.
