    Sorry I have been confusing haven’t I.

Day 1) Unk decided the framesets are not a bargain for him as he doesn’t want the fork, and so buys just a meta frame which is still a good deal, and the bike is top of his wishlist.

Midnight Day 1) CRC drop the price of the frameset by over £400 rendering now a very good buy for Unk, even is he sells the forks.

Day 2) Unk sees the revised price. Knowing the frames dissappeared very quickly Unk buys a frameset, and tries in vain to cancel the original order.

Day 5) First order arrives, a meta AM as expected

Day 6) Second order arrives, contains all that would have been expect in the frameset (reverb, bars, fox 32s), but with confusing substitution of a Supreme frame.

So Unkle wants the Meta frameset for the bargainous 1570, and is reluctant to let it go as there can probably be no replacement. He was about to send back the original frame, but was hoping CRC would agree to an everybody wins solution. He keeps the listed contents of the AM frameset, and they collect the more valuable Supreme frame at no cost to homer.

CRC seem reluctant to go along with that.

Contacting Decade direct however is a very good idea, and I shall do that if plan-CRC fails.

I am aware warranty is everything for something like a DH frame, so doubt and initial research implies I may not even get the 1K I would be out of pocket.

No. I got the DH frame, and all the meta bits. (for £1570)

I had also already bought and received a meta frame which i was going to send back. (£989)

My front room room looks a Commencal dealership at the moment. :)

Yup. But as part of frame kit, with a bunch of meta bits (fork, reverb etc). Also bough a meta Frame. Sadly I don’t ride DH, do have enough bikes, need to turn one to cash by return or sale. It seems likely it would fetch more than 1K.

Its gonna be getting a bit sily as I’ll be selling the forks on as well.

I promise, it started out as a very simple bike buying plan… that was 7 days ago.

Is the parents dog if I’m entirely honest. Is work from home an option? My brother law runs an fishing and game shop in Edinburgh, so his goes to work with him. Annoyingly, that you think about it how do, means your the sort of person who should have a dog, as you would put it first in such ways.

Oooh, heck, just over 12 year ago my Grandad died. Grandads, they are interesting in a way of their own, and have seen many things, I doubt we will have seen anything like the changes they have by our 80s/90s. Just newer smaller telephones.

Mine was in the region of 90, in April 2000.

    Cheers to em both.

Wish I’d had a teacher like you.

I did, not mtbing, but sailing and windsurfing, on his own time after school, driving us to Ripon. It was great, I really looked forward to it each and every week.

Sound like OPs students did too. The bad feelings now are just the side effect of being a decent conscientious human being.

that’s terrible. Not your fault. Just shit shit luck really. I’ve shot onto unexpected road before. I suspect many people. You could spread blame over kids or parents, but it won’t help, there’s no point. A horrible unfortunate accident.

Life can be poo. Very often it is.

Here’s hoping the school/family/community do something awesome in his name.

Footwear – just get something comfy. Ignore all the other nonsense.

Short trips to begin with, with 30seconds or a minute running and then 3/4 minutes walking. And build it up

post run stretches, especially of the calves.

Just for the record. There is a large number of Indian, Kashmiri, and Benghal immigrants in Leeds, and its ace, the asian run fruit and veg shops are fantastic, big bags of spices and veg i’d never heard of before. They will often suggest ways to cook them and advised me how to render tamarind

#felt the need to throw one in there.

Has the CRC sale ever ended? :D

But I would imagine end july/ early august, they do seem to be aggressively clearing stuff out, but that could just be they have decided to avoid having several year old stock kicking about all the time.

I’d get on to the council, politely and make the same enquirey. though if its for personal use, not work it may not be subject to any restrictions.

Lies! I won’t believe it. Prove it to me – and I still won’t believe you. Also I won’t be listening as I’ll be eating my pork Pie…

In all seriousness though, its all very valid, Office workers can massively increase their calorie burn if the just stand up now and then, walk to people rather email them, i.e. – be active. If I ever ran a company I would be very tempted to remove all sametime/internal email to promote healthier staff. And there wouldn’t a be a vending machine in the place…

The main things putting me off Bos is lack of parts, service manual, and sketchy reports as to how r53 are on communications. their website is still proclaiming the arrival of devilles in 2010 – And saying I should reserve one now. I know much of the supply problem on parts is from the bos end but that’s not very encouraging either. I have enough of that with owning formula brakes…

Anyone know how much they charge for a service?

I suspected as much. Good to know there’s no point in scouring the internet any more then.

Was there any good reason for ceasing production or just how SRAM decided to go?

Les Linderets Black, all tech, no jumps, no berms, no tables. The reds and blues there are also very good. (you may know it as Avoriaz)

Green off Mont Chery is pretty sweet, as is the black if you want more conventional. Find you a local, they know there the good shit is.

As jambalaya says, morzine trails not great unless you love pleney, I can leave it personally.

like riding as a kid, then drifted out of it in favour of guitar, drink and weed.

Years later I got a bike (cheapo halfords one) to tootle on to see if I liked it. I did, but I recognised that my bike was heavy and poo. I got a Trek 4500, bit lighter, faster and made my commute a world easier. Went to the lake district, and my mate had just got a spesh FSR, he dragged me off road loads… enjoyed it but recognised my bike was wrong for it. When the 4500 was nicked replaced with top of line Avalanche with bouncy forks and discovered the meanwood valley trail right near my home… and fun!

Many years and bikes later here I am.

Was the source of the upgrades a sneaky secret or one you can share? I’m wanting DH coils, but can’t find any so considering getting Uturn Coil RC2Ls and swapping over internals.

For CD ones, Michel Thomas is fantastic. I’m learning right now.

They work with you being the third member of a class taking the course, great for the car, or when you’re just doing stuff around the house, I listen to them when walking to work. Needs to be somewhere you can speak it out loud, even if just quietly under your breath. And its not just you repeating lots of things either, you try to say them before the others do.

if still po-go like, slow the rebound off too.

Let us know how you get on. #is about to buy a 160 fork :) #

You’ve loads of stuff above to try, and better damper would probably pay dividends, but on your current set up, less air/smaller spring, and slower rebound sounds like a necessary set-up adjust..

PSI/Weight on forks is nonsense, according to mine I should run >170PSI, I run 140/130 and that’s hard.

If you’re happy buggering about with forks internals I would take Bagstard up on his offer.
