I did a quick Recon of the internet and everything points to it being coincidence. My advice, get out on a ride, put a song on with some great Lyriks and Float down a favourite descent enjoying your newly service forks, but don’t venture down any new trails today, better the Deville you know.

I have some old 351 coils on the XC bike (wound down to 100), not the lightest option, but the bike weighs in pretty low and I’m not a seriously XC minded, they have had a heck of a beating, 6 years old. Home services, still tight as a button and really responsive. Love em.

disclaimer: I have ridden no other xc fork, but both other bikes have pikes on, and while they’re softer and flexier, not so much I don’t still love riding that bike.

The best thing you can do is keep it inside and don’t ever ride it.

After that as above and you can’t go too wrong. ;)

I’m not used to getting enthusiastic about a vac, but this will do it.

Borked forks are not ideal as your first journey into fork dissassembling, as you say, you won’t really know how stuff should look, and could not recognise a problem. Odds on its something TF of loco will fix as part of their standard service.

No if I’m honest they were out in the metaphorical cold. though they were threatened with actual outside and rain, not my guest specifically [not any more].

Still not sure what it actually was but it goes on the list with all reality TV, Michael Macintyre and Alistair Stewart.

The best way to stop it is to try and get the kids to stand up and stop playing and ignore the puppy.

This, it is what other puppies in the family would do if nipped during play. Only when it is too hard, that way, as above puppy learns to modulate mouth play. He is just giddy, and young, and needs this feedback from his other ‘pack’ members at this stage in his development. When they get up they should also turn their back on him. Domesticated dogs look to human eyes and face for attention feedback. Turning away is also good when he gets bigger and starts to jump up. I would not go for the firm no at a young age, as it is still a form of attention. But later [6 months on-ish] the dog will have learn to recognise disapproval, but it is a more sophisticated concept for them to understand.

In short, if he nips, it is the end of the game and the end of puppy attention, probably for at least 15-20 minutes.

I find lighting from two different angles highlights the terrain a little better, also the difference between flood and spot. But not necassary, and is all personal preference at the end of the day, borrow one, try it, see if it works for you.

    dude… a symbol of aspiration.

As a Radio 4 listener, Neil’s passing has a particularly poignent significance.

No way Eddie doesn’t run with this… but comedy aside, and as per above XKCD, lunar travel just moved further into the past.

Is it really the same guy as bo selecta? I was thinking it was like BS v2.0, only a little shitter.

Only funny bit of BS was the bear which was a good idea, and quite funny in how it was executed… could have been better though. Rest of it made me want to punch kittens in the face…

‘guest’ is starting to whine about needing somewhere to sleep…

Its like the matrix, everyone falls the first time.

As andy says, screws tight, I once got to the bottom of Dunkery Beacon descent, and only then discovered I was missing a bolt, and would not have been able to unclip if I’d had to stop…

edit: sorry not helpful but i was immediately reminded of it. You say very clearly please return the item for a refund, via ebay message system. then if it gets escalated they can see you are behaving properly and ebay will wait for item to be returned rather than intervening.

I don’t mind them visually (we have them in our rural area), I find them graceful, I also like annoying the NIMBYs by refusing to sign their petition as they never have anything positive to say about anything and they cannot bare the fact I disagree with them. On the plus side if one day we get a really good solution, then when you remove turbines there’s very little left to show they were there. Unlike coal/nuclear.

The only neg for me of having them in the dale is they make it feel smaller, as you can see them from everywhere, so you never feel like you’re very far away from them[pennypot] so the area feels smaller.

from there you can pick up BW to Kirkby Overblow south west, and from there spofforth, or even loop round to meanwood trail in leeds via Harewood, yes I am suggesting you ride into a city for good riding, but there is a good reason for it. More of an XC route focused on distance but with some treats along the way.

I’m afraid you will not be spoiled for choice from right out of Hellgate.

Alternative is cross the town, pick up the new sustrans from Bilton to Ripley, and from the to Clint, Birstwith, Shaw Mills and make a loop round there.

If you tire of that and drive out I live just out of Pateley Bridge and would be up for showing you some stuff round there.

Maps suggest you could get out to Stainburn by BW through Rigton, up to Stainburn moor and cut across the woods the Norwood trails, and then to Stainburn.

I think the danger from cyclists is minute compared to that from motorists, but yet it does exist, and probably amplifies the motorist danger (reactions to dodgy cycle manouvres etc).

I have nothing against free cycle training available to all. But mandatory would basically be the beginning of the end of the right to the public roads.

Has the policy of public denial on Keighley been lifted then. I thought it was like Hull, we do not mention them. Ever. Or you get sent to Preston.

Through work I got my hands on someone from Welcome to Yorkshire the other day and interrogated them about this.

Much the same, its looking really promising. The number of signatures to the petition is a real strength to the bid as one vital thing for the Tour is the visual of the route lined with fans and the 200,000 sigs so far help show this will be the case (add to the olympics and Brad).

It seems to me the dales route could very well come through my home town too, then climb out of Pateley up to Grassington, would be a KILLER climb.

If you haven’t sign the petition of support google “Back le bid” and do so!

Won’t somebody think of the Segway riders?

No. I have to comply with the law of gravity while these bloody segway riders flout it at every oportunity. Are do they take any test before balancing like balancing crazy things? NO!!!
