STOP MAKING ME ALL STATISTICAL ON A FRIDAY!!!!

Mean is synonymous with Average. Median and Mode are entirely different measures.

yes sir, sorry sir, won’t do it again sir.

I think what the OP is after is the following:-

    Do you watch Jeremy Kyle?
    Do you buy scratch cards?
Do you live on benefits and believe that is your career?
    Have you ever eaten fruit?
Does five-a-day mean number of times you shoot up?

If you answer yes to any of the above you may not vote and you must be sterilised.

    Simple.

thing is, the above goes against many things I beleive in, it is contrary to the values I hold and the society I want to live in…

…but I can’t help but pretty much agree with it wholeheartedly.

I think you’ll find that depends on how you define average

ah beaten to it. Yes, Median value or Mean value…

Not an IQ test, but a general knowledge current affairs test, not a complicated one, and say a 50% pass rate. But I listened to Jeremy Vine once, and I was very frightened, very…

Some of the discussions I heard around AV, about what AV actually was, were terrifying…

Well the balloons were for the publicity for last year, but were only delivered on the sunday  So I rolled them over to this year. Actually in yorkshire for once I’ve had the literature since last month! which is the best yet. But there are fewer events, a common story this year. Only really the church and Hackfall woods, the other things are stuff that would be on/open anyway but now its free.

Fountains Abbey is free on Saturday BTW.

For people local to Nidderdale the tower of the Old Church in Pateley bridge is open 10-4 Sat and Sunday.

    I even have balloons…

I thought he was bemoaning the lack of organised clubs with an official membership who are ‘engaging with local stakeholders’ to get MTB riding on the radar when considering countryside access and issues

PMBA, Singletraction, Bristol Trails Group, trogmtb… to name but a few*

*not read the article either, waiting for my prem access to begin…

But I don’t much want to ride in club. Clubs involve a lot of admin, paper work and other stuff which is not riding a bike. I agree it maybe necassary to bring about change. But its a shame. I just wanna ride my bike…

I’d heard they’d all died from the cat aids (the bad type) and had all gone to live in a big trail centre in welsh Wales.

No no no, that wasn’t what I was told, I was told they’d all been eaten by an enormous mutant stargoat.

    @binners

Interstingly a little map study reveals that Gisburn is in fact mostly access land. Now I’m not sure how the introduction of trails on access land effects the ‘right to roam responsibly’ but I suspect the responsible bit could be called into question for the events you describe.

I ALWAYS thank the polite ones.

This, is not only a great habit as it is the decent thing to do, but also the most perfectly targeted weapon against the diehard anti mtb rambler types.

I’m always incredibly nice, polite, slightly chatty and generally lovely when I sense a grumbly red socker in a group. And they HATE it. They want a mtber who complies to the stereotype of rude and dangerous, so they can bitch on about them for the rest of the walk, tell people in the pub afterwards about how he was damn nearly killed etc.

But if you’re really nice, give way, or give them a polite warning, give a comment about the weather, bob off the track to pass them etc, you deny them that and contradict their opinion.

And to anyone not of that mindset, it just seems like your being nice. No collateral damage unlike getting into an arguement.

Watch their faces, you can see it work, its wonderful :D

You think that was bad, I was delayed getting my tea the other week after I got caught up one HELL of a disagreement as I met a youch couple, you know the type late twenties, on a short break. As coincidence would have it I was taking in a short section of river side cheekiness. It went on for a while before in the end, just to get on, I gave in and went first. But I still maintain it would have made more sense for them to go first. But they were adamant, stepped right off the footpath, and INSISTED i should go first. Some people are so stubborn it defies reason…

I’ve never had anyone actually hear a bell.

Its just people IMO. I’ve given up getting cross with dozy walkers who’s reaction to “Good Morning” is to turn round and fan out across a track.

Always amuses me if there walkers only on the left side of the path, and I call out “hello can I pass you on the right please” they all step to the right. Often considered calling out the opposite, all Darren Brown etc…

In seriousness, I hope you have some form of redress. Did you get pics of the frame, did he hide the cracks in them?

I hope you have some form of redress.

As a seller I always try to arrange face to face for anything in 3 figures, and I don’t sell cracked frames…

A quick google of his email address shows he uses it liberally. try conventional methods first, but I’m sure the STW Vengeance Machine could make his life hell, indefinitely… just say the word

It does creep up on you, after my Jasper died I caught myself staring when ever I dropped food and just stayed there. I also hated it when other people started leaving doors open that used to have to stay closed or our socks would be distributed about the house. All the best.

I wouldn’t bother with Win8 for anything without a touch screen personally. Suppose you could by it and not install it. Then if MS stop supporting 7 (not likely, no way business takes to 8 quickly if at all), you have a fallback.

edit: I’m being massively simplistic here re 8 before anyone jumps in saying I’ve missed the point etc…

I found the voice over interview cut too much from the riding, but its a balance thing, some nice linked up bits around the water features. Youtube would suggest the VS is part of a series…

I saw a fair few dogs on chairlifts in the Alps this summer. Most were really well behaved but one or two were really squirming around and keen to jump off. One in particular would have landed on one of the Pre la Joux runs at Chatel. Imagine that- you are all set for the tabletop and get hit in the head by a pooch.

guy who ran the chalet we stayed at took his dog up on the lifts, he was an ace dog, sexually confused, but an ace dog. DDid one of the guy have a green Transition?

Having been and ridden with RB, double ply, wouldn’t consider anything else, except maybe a reliable tubeless set up with massix UST (~1.5 ply).
