I think the intent is more like “agree”, “VERY strongly agree” and “Oh my god we are so alike. I think I love you. Lets make babies together”

    This +(infinity +1)!

(yes i mean factorial, not exclamation)

New seasonal ale from Black Sheep

tried some this week, but was driving so could only have the one. So unfair. Could sip that all night very happily (deleriously happy by the end of the night I imagine…) .

Few years ago found a pub with this in for a month or two… also very very nice. Apparently only available in november… pity. But i think I found it in bottles once as well… try it if you see it is my advice.

    1 – Abbott Ale
2 – Black Sheep Golden Sheep
3 – Copper Dragon Golden Pippin
    4 – Black Sheep Riggwelter
5 – Black sheep Progress (seasonal – found in the Boars head ripley this week, bloody lovely it is.)

There have been other wonderful beer I have found here and there, but I always drink to much of them to remember what they were… :(

    At the moment,

    XC HT – SPD
long travel HT – Flats (changed just recently as swapped cranks and couldn’t be arsed removing the pedals quite like it, may for back for winter though)]
Bouncer – flats as of about 18 months ago, but no reason I wouldn’t return to spds on it for longer rides if I could be bothered changing the pedals

I find after finally getting more used to climbing on flats, I’m pretty freely interchangeable. Will find out if that’s right when one of the burlier bikes gets it spds back…

I used to be forced to listen to him in an office.

So I can say with authority thank god that can never happen to anyone ever again. That was no way to live, there was no dignity in it. There was no joy. The sun did not shine. Pastries and coffee tasted like dust and washing up water.

    I’m with binners on this.

    why embarassed?

Not sure, seemed it was all going to be a blokey thing of “I’ll wear ’em till they pedal on their own”… I’m not ashamed. honest…

Cleats should come with the pedals, go for M520s, pretty bomb proof. You can go tarty later if you like it.

Plastic cage is the pedal version of a placebo IMO.

Shoes. Not you don’t. If you want those just get the flats ones and ride flats. Get MT43s, they will give you better grip for those all important lifesaving dabs of desperation*.

*hardly ever happens, don’t worry about it will be fine.

[‘scuse the tone, sounds like you’re having an impulsive day, thought i’d join in ;) ]

I wash after ever ride  unless it was a shortish one, or dry and very cold, in which case they live for one more ride. But only one mind…

    Nope, that would be weird.

Long rides might get some Minty Arse Lard involved (other forms of menthol bum lube are available), Susser makes that less likely unless long and wet ride…

really? no-one interested in a nice policy document?

Given recent threads/arguments about cycle lanes etc thought this might be of interest… which is all by way saying – bump?

However, someone will be along in a moment to say that the other way is correct.

    Hello!

My understanding is that either is correct, but once you’ve decided which you’e going to do, stick to it. (and if you like, argue vehemently about it on the internet)

Myself, i fall on the Wiggins’ side of the argument.

    A) really? rather not now, and rather not hollywood, nice independant british film like Flying Scotsman would be better

    B) you reckon? says the Daily Express… esteemed bastion of fact and calm fact checking…

As above, Machno is pretty weather proof (has to be on that hill) and long and XC in feel, but still have awesome finale to IMO. When the guys at Gisburn turn their eyes to repair work this winter/next year that should see a better level of all weather ness there (it is now, but a bit degraded in places). Stainburn is weather proof, but smaller than what you’re after I suspect.

In fairness its the national broadcaster who throws together the feed. So for the TdF its likely a big french sports channel or someone wityh money because its taken really seriously over there so loads of cameras etc.

Less so for a smallish national tour in only its 9th year. Obviously viewing figures are good though, as yesterday there was a helicopter and I don’t think there was on the previous days which implies they’re are able to spend more. It is for this reason I am willing to sit through all the god awful adverts (i have never watchs as many ads as I have this year, and honestly believe it could be damaging my brain).

    Father Goose – no geese

Buffalo soldiers – they were people, most definitely, I could tell.

Stranger than fiction – was in fact fictional so the title didn’t really make sense

North by Northwest – was not about orienteering, and the characters moved in various directions, many of them southerly.

OP – yes, I was thinking exactly the same thing… they went from a helicopter shot where it seem like cav might have been caught out once again and slipped back to fifth(certainly the leading riders were strung out in a line – but given the 20 seconds they were behind a massive building it could have been anyone ) to suddenly final stages of sprint and he was ahead of several others who where either side and pretty close to him (though from the angle they could have been behind a bit, zoom lens looking right down the road. Poor editing certainly, but makes me suspect they didn’t get the shots to fill that gap.

Fantastic move by Bradley to close that challenge though, and great how the team knew what was going on, think I saw him give some kind of a sign, they must practice stuff like that loads.

ANy wine like that you got her would probably never be drinkable (nice) after 16 yrs anyway… those old bottles people collect are never drunk, they just don’t depreciate like cash or shares…

Whiskey however… now you’re talking… Jura do one with a blue label supposed to be VERY nice…

Just to fair and balanced (and honest) :- ample money would result my taking ownership of a 1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage in charcoal grey as soon as I could find one. It is an old car, a classic, a model of style and decorum, which I honestly believe, would exempt me from stereotype.
