road climb back up from the Descent line….

There is a climbing line, admitedly designed by sadistic swine, but it is there… ;)

Not sure where Millar is, i thought he was racing the ToB but he didn’t start. Maybe just taking the end of the season off… he seemed on good form in the TdF.

This thread reminds me of some poeple who bought what was once my favourite pub. They are surly, grumpy, ungratious and seem to particularly dislike fetching things for people, serving people, answer questions (like Do you serve food) and are incapable of remembering an order… As above, some people should not work with the public. They tend to want things…

The high pitch electonic things work well for me. Alas they only go up to ‘strong’. I was hoping for higher settings of ‘spasm’, ‘unconcious’ and ‘involuntary cranial eruption’. But alas no…

Devilles (bit of a risk due to distributer problems, but 34mm stanchions)

Xfusion I hear very good things about, they may be described as 32mm, but they look chunkier and are pretty darn stif.

Is Trail Centre the big ones including a bike shop, two cafes, you pay for parking etc… as opposed to just a trail, in a forest? If so, then I might tend to agree unless on a quiet winter midweek day, I don’t tend to go to trails like that very often, I find their just so full of …. ‘people’. :P

Found all those, not seen the test creen yet. Did you keep talking to the sceitist in the changing room, and get bog paper acheivement?

It is a great reworking of the game, I’m doing the dance of the processing unit after being caught and escaping at the moment.

I got to Xen and the game lost its impetus so when I got stuck at the big spider thing I gave up a bit too easily

Fear not, they haven’t included those last levels in this release, but they are coming. Then maybe opposing force and Blue shift???? in about 2034???

Don’t ever ride on the same trail as me for your dog’s sake.

    Errrr, why?

How about just leaving the mut at home…

Please, don’t ever get a dog, for the dog’s sake.

    Thanks.

There’s a [willful?] confusion going on here. It seems some of you go to really busy ‘Trail Centres’, and it seem those here who take their dogs riding (which doesn’t include me, I left it too late to train him to run by the bike) think that is a bad idea, but have places where they never see anyone and ride with their dogs without incidence. That is to say, what some of you have encountered does not represent the entire spectrum of trail hound ownership, because the responsible ones go at such times that the weekend peak time crowd NEVER SEE THEM. But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It just means they fall outside the scope of what you have experienced, so you need to use a little imagination and actually read what’s being said…

… or of course, just sling mud for the sake of it…

To those who posted pics, those are fine looking trail hounds gents! happy riding.

Someone going the wrong way with out of control dogs is just an idiot, in this instance, accompanied by their dogs.

Fair enough if you think dogs on trails is against the law. But by the same logic no cheeky riding for you. That too is against the rules… also, there could be dogs…

I’m wondering what your trail centres are like, they sound awful I go to a ‘TC’, its a great big bloody forest, with some trails in it. I can count the people I meet on the trails on one hand (not including those who just sit about in the car park). Quite often the dog walkers, walkers, and equestrians out number the cyclists I see.

Half the stories on here don’t sound to be riders with dogs rather, dogs being walked by trails by none riders. SO not relevant as such. Dog shit on trail boils my piss, by when I’ve seen it commited its by none riders, who often walk their dogs round the red route at S’burn…

think its funny to chase sheep on the moor

That’s one there’s no excuse for selfishness nothing more, so sheep stop you getting that perfect run. Deal with it. move on. (rather than panicking them to jump over fences and risk injury, unnecessary suffering for the animal, costing a farmer part of his pitiful likelihood.

Wow, we’re well in the running for Rio with the Olympic Conclusion Jumping event aren’t we, should be a shoe in…

But anyway is there a massive dog on trail problem in other parts of the country then? Can’t have seen more than 5 at trail centres myself… ever.

They’ve changed things, which I quite like, and they brought some funny too… Bit glitchy getting on and off ladders, but so much fuuuunnnn!

Have to be honest, If my local trails didn’t have a busy road going right through the middle I would be tempted to take the hound. When we’re working on the trails he always takes the optional black lines he’s so gnar!

based on my other tees they are a very littl ebit generous. L is bigger than a Threadless Large, but not much.

I take my dog trail building… do I fall foul of your rules? FWIW I don’t mind, but some trails aren’t great for dogs due to limited visibily, some are fine IMO, (Lee Quarry – no probs, not a tree in sight).

Anyway, hang fire while I get me cuppa this one could ‘run and run’ (oh yeah, punnage)

If possible meet both parents. Get hips scores etc. You should be in touch with the breeder from early on (my mum got her last two from registered breeders and was all for doing the proper way so I’m going from memory a little.)

On the first few months. Decide on ground rules, where it will sleep, when it will be walked, where in the house it will be allow. (worth considering having a non dog area for a puppy/dog, especially a gun dog, as they ‘retrieve’ things with enthusiasm.) Make sure everyone (kids) are aware and agree to the rules, get used to closing the separating door / what ever before puppy arrives. and Stick to them. This is also fairer on the dog as it needs to learn its place in the hierarchy as well so consistency help with that…

” doing it for a hobby as opposed to cash” this would be a big plus for me.

Bond in the books was actually a bit of a bastard, because of what happened in Casino Royal, they’ve set the craig character up accordingly with the reboot. Dalton was great… shame he only did two.

Well not reading the argument above. Until recently bouncy seat tending to stay lowish, and I’d stand a lot to climb. New build has a dropper.

long travel hardtail it stays in medium position and much of the time I leave it there, and XC bike its up and it stays up, part of the bike for me. that said I am fancying a dropper for the 456 – will depend how much of a game changer I find it once I get the new bouncer finished.

Depends where / how you’re riding as well, around gentle hill no need to change it much, but with sharp techy downs and long grindy ups I do tend to give in and start adjusting it. But I hate the constant stopping of doing it so prefer to avoid if poss.

tbh for this, it wouldn’t need to be awesome. You could pick up a 8500 and run it hybrid SLI and get the equivilent of of a 8600 out of it. I did that for a while it was ok. But I was running a 1080 and a 990 monitor. That would be pretty cheepy to give a go. Given your mobo I’d go Nvidia, you can use the hybrid power and switch it off when you’re not gaming etc.

I used to work with people who would read right wing red tops, and believe every word, and often spout it back out verbatim in the lunch queue. They would often seem incredulous I didn’t believe any of it unless I knew of corroborating evidence, or it wasn’t insane etc…

I don’t think the politics is main the thing. People of all persuasions will often believe anything they’re told. But some people seek out more disturbing forms of nonsense to believe…

see if you can find the source developement kit? (SDK) that might do it… Or you could try downloading a HL2 demo… or treat yourself to portal.

cheapest HL2 game seems to be HL2 deathmatch at 2.99 , none of the other games are that much tbh.

you need any source engine game HL2/L4D etc
