So Mark what do you think about the implications of that?

    Southerners… 🙄

    😉 😀

One day I’ll buy some and then I’ll prob. wear them all winter… but i get really warm when riding, winters the only time I’m not uncomfortably hot.

To understand what happens, why it happens, and (IMHO, flame me if you like) to understand there’s a difference between a Saville or Smith type and a early teenage boy coercing a similarly aged sister or girl at school into sexual experimentation. Do they also need stringing up / castration, because I’m not so sure?

this, also Saville, while so wrong there are hardly words for it, from what I’ve heard not a paedophile as the girls were post pubescent. At the moment the tendency is much more towards same a label on ’em and scream bloody Mary. More understanding would help us reduce the amount of time this happens.

I struggle with the string em thing too, keep them the **** away from children, punish them for their crimes, but the science, as I understanding implies it is not a choice, you want to string people up for something they can’t control (talking about their thoughts here not their actions which are the result of choice). But I don’t know what the answer is, and can’t think of anything that isn’t basically putting them in a camp. But we need a better level of discussion than I have yet heard.

Someone in your group is wearing shorts, did they forget their medication today?

I only ever wear shorts, only regret it when with people fannying about, though in the very cold I do go to 3/4 length shorts… tights are for girls… or group fannying. 😉

Well stainburn Warren Bolder is a double black, and the stuff that’s scarier is graded GOLD, if that’s an official grading, or just the youf being groovy or what ever they do these days I don’t know.

That however looks like an awesome and highly entertaining and challenging ride and I am quite jealous.

For me it was Half-life, but no Half-Life with Doom, so yep, Doom.

I’m not really rally/car racing minded, but that was a very good and well made film… Watched it last time based on similar recommendations in these pages.

During the harsh winter 2 years ago we got a flock of 40+ field fares, never seen one before, great moment. First there was 6, then 12, then 20… then we looked the other way… and saw the rest.

    Hugh Jackman

    NO!

and Tom Hardy doesn’t work for me.

I reckon Rufus Sewell would be ace, and my mate and I intend to campaign for it to be Lawrence Fox cos we think he’d be awesome.

In fact for RS just imagine this with some bondesque writing all over it, few guns etc…

Get a subaru, nice weather proof 4X4 abilities, loads of bike space, and not a BMW so it doesn’t automatically keep trying to drive in the middle of the road and the indicators work…

I can’t confirm that at all. I bought the full frameset and still had to by a maxle seperate. I don’t fully understand rear axles so not sure, I bought a RS maxle, it worked. 😀

errrr, no, I’ve explained it badly, no sleeve at all, hacksaw is to remove part of the cups, because top of the shell protrudes into the cavity. Dura ones don’t have a sleeve at all, so don’t have that bit of plastic getting in the way.

Go here and zoom on the bb shell you’ll see the bit I mean, its solid and goes right the way across. Man from importer on the CommencalOwnersClub (useful site) swears its makes it loads stronger, seems plausable.

awesome bike though, just had a short ride on mine (not properly finished), hitting stainburn next week, can not wait.

EDIT: dura ace road is what I mean sorry, these will go in unmodded.

Happy people make me sick… start spreading lies about them, sooner it’s over the sooner normal life can resume. You need to prioritise what really matters….

I was just rushing from your other thread to warn you about this, yes it is, if you have a hacksaw, otherwise you need a dura ace one which is just cups no sleeve. You don’t need the sleeve as the BB shell is machined from one piece and has no holes, well two holes, for the BB but no other ones into the downtube etc. I went the hack saw route, works fine, no hack sawed edge come into contact with the crank spindle, is totally safe and fine. Iain1775 went down the dura route. Commie themselves provide the one you pictured with the frameset which unmodded, does not fit. (wouldn’t be a proper commencal if there wasn’t something stupid about it). CRC themselves, who import them and are where I bought mine, don’t seem to understand the complexity of it. But its all fine, so long as you know, hope that helps…

The reason I was coming to warn you is if not with shimano I don’t know if there are BBs that will fit.

Count Zero, I did it was accepted, then came in after a week off to be told Management decided we should all do it, and I had a name, the flip side of that is someone has my name. Chocolates/plonk may well be the winner. She’s actually very nice if she’s who I think she is so I would not feel comfortable with a poo in a box, even though it certainly mean I was never asked again…

I was thinking of putting them pretty tight, but two at each end, for more friction, but would be interested to hear other peoples’s experiences.

Found the act of actually routing them a horrific PITA, hope I never have to change my brakes… though I learned some lessons so should be easier nect time…

I’ve been being good on chain wear/use recently. Not sure what I read into it, but I found the third chain wore down very quickly, which I put down to everything else being a little worn, so am now running the lot into the ground.

I would +1 the advice above, if you have gun dog, train it.

Wish I’d trained angus, and if i got another goldie I would deff train it.

The usual puppy training is fine, but it is a one size fits all training and different breeds vary hugely.

This is an interesting thread. My brother in law shoots and has once or twice suggested I take Angus (ma hound) along, angus is a very well trained dog, but he isn’t gundog trained, Nick seemed to think he would do fine, whereas I was worried he’d be a nusance, and wonder off with someone elses pheasant… Although he does understand (instinctively i suppose) some gestures, he spots things when they land, and sweeps pretty well, so I have often wondered if he’d do ok…

Boars Head at Ripley, just out of Harrogate, but in the plus column, just out of Harrogate…

Masham ideas also worth considering, seriously good food at the kings head, but I’d recommend Ripley.

ragged the hell out of my 07, everytime I thought I had outgrown it it proved me wrong, it munched up techy alps trails and was always fun to ride, only got rid of because I was left some money and new AMs were on sail… upgrade was vanity and love for shiny things rather than necessity.

We have tried to hide out and film him but […] he doesn’t appear

yeah I’ve found this, trail trolls don’t show up on cameras…

there’s a spot I ride with some guys which might be really boring, but all the logs make it more of an intricate challenge and help me hone my skills, maybe this guy’s just wanting you all to be able to shift your weight on the bike more and be better riders?

I’ve had a KitchenAid Burr Grinder for 6odd years, used daily and i estimate it’s ground it’s way through 100kg + of beans at 300-400g of beans per week, reliable, extremely well built and very – very easy to take apart to clean the inside but i think you’ll be hard pushed to find one on ebay for less than £100.

He will if he’s willing to wait, I’m looking for a friend (and hoping the OP’s not near Yorkshire), seen them go unbidded at £50 60 and 85 in the south and Scotland… which is insane!

Re the nay sayers, organise a meeting with them, say you’d like to address their concerns, be prepared for the worst most pedantic small minded nay sayers so they can’t surprise/disappoint you and patiently talk to them about how it will help separate thrill sealing behaviour, ease pressure on the PROW network, help boost the local economy and any other locally specific needs/issues, talk about clear signage etc… Will look good to the LA making any decisions if such action are taken, even if just as a ‘listening exercise’, and may even (don’t count on it) help address their concerns (which may just be born from naivety and ignorance) and reassure them…

It has been known to happen…

    anyway. petition done. good luck!

you might get a Kitchen Aid for that on ebay if you collect, would require some patience for the right one to crop up.

I can’t speak to other brands myself, but I love my kitchen aid enough to have implemented a regular cleaning routine to maximise its lifespan… (unlike me, to qualify the significance)
