The simple fact of it is that “Mr Smith lives at wherever” isn’t sensitive. But the clincher is that Mr Smith whop live here, has bought things from This Shop. That becomes ‘Sensitive’. Even before email addresses and phone numbers are disclosed. Basic notion being one rule must fit all in such scenarios, and so there can be no difference in law if Mr Smith has bought brake pads and a dropper from superstar or he has bought a blow up doll, 4 butt plugs, an SS uniform and some poppers from Loveitupyourarse.co.uk – revealing either of these is viewed the same way, so as to protect against any judgement of what is or isn’t shameful/proper etc. To be honest that is fair enough. Mr smith has the right to put kevlar pads up his bottom in the privacy of his own room before donning his ss uniform and shredding the local woods.
It is not the information that is bad, but the fact that the origin of it reveals information about the person.
It hasn’t stopped me from buying SS today. Though I do limit what I buy from SS based on the fact I’m yet to hear of one uncontested warranty claim – ever.
I do also suspect it is this and other similar things that result in such witch hunt subtexts to threads.
Hope have (as has been shown on these pages) a lot of warranty claims, but then they sell a lot of stuff, only they know the true figures behind it, but they deal with warranties in a way that has people singing their praises. But they also are not a budget brand, and aren’t so close to the bottom line as I imagine SS operate at so maybe a more lenient attitude doesn’t threaten the business and they feel they can take the longer view.

Not sure what my point is, other than, “Sings and Roundabouts, init”.

Oh wow, you’d have to be really ‘special’ to to dispute that surely, rather than just think “awwww fudge, I’m a retard” – we’ve all done something like that late night on ebay at one time or another surely.

I know its frowned on and its bad, but he was a sixth former, and she’ll loose her job, we can save on the judgmentalism can’t we? Although she did cheat on her husband. Alright, you twisted my arm, I’ll start whittling a wicker school. You get the matches

While ago at stainburn I was walking down the Descent line, having been to get a spade (was a dig day) and met some people walking up it, saying you have to be careful cos of all the bikes, don’t they go fast – someone could get hurt. Well yes, I replied, not yet elaborating just cos I wanted to see what they said next. They said, Well, it is a right of way, and showed me their OS map, pointing to the STRAIGHT AS A RULER dashed line that went up the forest. Anyone been on the Stainburn DL will know it is very very wiggly so as to get the most out of the hill. That, and the dashed line they were pointing to was black, so not a PROW – and is 2 metres wide up the hill, you really can’t miss it. Conclusion? Some people are just morons, and you should always ride as if a coach load of morons have just been released onto the trail, if only for your own sake.

Would have thought if you’ve got a nuts child with a knife, then the duty of care to the other children is most important thing. But as above their sounds to have been other incidents, full story won’t be contained in one revelation in the news.

Did these communications go through Ebay? If so then any dispute will, i think, include review of those messages. You might be alright, I understand your worry, they do tend to side with the buyer.

Insane how much wieght people give the ratings agencies. Same agencies had subprime products rated AAA, and Lehman brothers rated AAA days before they went bust. They don’t predict, they react.

Does happen without suspension, but I would put money down that suspension would increase it, especially the growth once slight bumps start.

I dispute the bad track design argument, it could be a factor, but I would argue riders share more of the blame, panic braking especially. But when you get hundreds of riders an hour, then to some extend on certain types of course (which Les Gets is a good example) its inevitable. Very few braking bumps in Les Lindarets [sp?]

There is no ‘humane’ way to get rid of rats, just put the poison down and try not to think about it. Do not go on the internet to read about how it works, just believe me when I tell you that the rats go gently to sleep and have fluffy little dreams until they don’t.

I was wondering if it would be possible to coat some of the wetter UK trails in it…

I live in the dales, I got 8M sync, 7.5 ip profile on ADSL, now on ADSL 2+ and get 17M download 18M sync. Am impressed, didn’t get that fast when I lived in Leeds.

Another plus for plus net here. they do now offer unlimited, I quizzed them on it, they said outside their peak time traffic shaping which is pretty reasonable, they do not impose any limits. Before with a 60G limit and infinite overnights, I knocked many hundreds a month and never heard anything from them about it.

I included the large pepper grinder for scale.

No, used scissors, which was a ballache (no pun intended), so would go with clippers. Did chest and armpits, armpits as it did reduce the stink on my riding wear, and chest as it reduced the itching on my riding wear.

I know your getting a rescue but I would advise against pug, their faces quite literally do not work. They cannot breathe, they been so inbred they barely function and my mates ended up incontinent, and without the use of its back legs. If you want a functional hound get a working breed, i.e. a dog that was bred for purpose not for looks.

I understand the point about your lovely jumps being worn down, and if you have your own spot with an agreeable landowner fair enough. But if you build in a public area along an open trail/bway etc then us ground dwelling numpties are probably going to ride them. Worth pointing out that coming up short still has us taking off on the lip, the bit we land on and erode you’re so gnar you won’t be touching 😉
