The link Dirt put up to Fresh Produce has been taken down… Hoping my Works Chain ring arrives before the SRAM Teddy Bear leaves the cot… 😐

No no no, you need to come in with agressive accusations and ‘it was all his fault’. At this rate it will all be forgiveness and hugs by 11:30… and where’s the fun in that?

Did anyone go down on the chute on 1? Saw someone hit the deck hard on practice day, got up and needed to be made to sit down for five minutes. Seemed basically fine though. Whoever you are, I hope you bought a lottery ticket!

    Not buying this.

You guys keep him busy, I’ll cross the bridge!

Marshall here – fortunately it was windy when the course was set up so the tape was as close to secure as we could get it. It seemed to mostly stand up to the gusts. Such a shame the wind got quite so bad, but at least it was dry!

Glad for the organisers that it all went smoothly on the day, the vibe from riders was great and I saw mostly considerate riding with conscientious overtaking. Well done all!

Sadly I was marshalling a tricky bit where people might get hurt (last of the gulleys on 2), so couldn’t shout “GO GO GO GO GO” at people, but I was thinking it!

If you want objective news you’re on the wrong channel. But tbh they’re all at it these days. Emotive descriptive words become OK in news years ago.

Would it not imply cycling without due care and attention? Does the law specify car or is it while in charge of a vehicle on public roads?

The plan really only covers the first 2 series, which is when the plan falls apart a little bit…

Depends, have you seen “The Plan”?

Ooooh, I’ve said I’ll help set up at Ard Rock enduro on Friday, Buuuuut not heard anything yet as to when to show up, if I’m wanted on friday or just for marshalling on the Sat. So I may be at a loose end on Friday afternoon, in which case could meet you up at the ‘Burn, show you about and possibly indulge in a little bit of a Meta Am love in! 😀 But no it’s ace place and not as scary as its rep.

Assume I’m busy but I’ll post up if I’m not, or PM you on COC if that’s more likely to get your attention.

From Harewood (park on Wike Lane) you could do the Meanwood Valley Trail, or Bridleways out to East Kewick, over the Wharfe and then up to Kirkby Overblow, Pint, back to Harewood along road, cross the Wharfe on road bridge, and then right and into the estate and weave back to car alond estate Bridleways, enjoyingh the plentitude of Red Kites as you go.

Next time set up your own table and start offering people “This attactive coffee machine” if they convert to Molgripsology.

Also was only intended to be a stop gap until newer better trains were finished, such as the tilting one that never worked etc. Was a massive success and production continued as other overbudget projects were scrapped. Success in part down to its contemporary shape, which was the result of passing the design to and actual design firm, rather than just BR boffins who didn’t get out much.

36 and 11-36 on my meta AM, just about drag it up most stuff so would do the same for HT, in fact that would give me one lower gear than HT currently has. You will adapt to your lowest gear pretty quickly if you ride a fair bit.

    grass up the boyfriend.

Hold on now. Is the weed any good? Could you come to an arrangement that might make you more relaxed about the situation…

    …and then grass him up?

When I emailed to say that they had forgotten to send the grips, they told me they needed photographic evidence of the receipt, along with a picture of what I had recieved

Because if you had received the grips and were pulling a fast one, there would be no way you could supply such a picture, by photoshopping out the grips from the picture, hiding them under another item, or, if you were really evil, just not including them in the picture in the first place! 😯

Basic thing is I know they operate with tiny margins, that’s their business model. But they could be so popular and sell more things if they were not just dicks to deal with and stopped blaming other people for everything.

PS. I too always oil my nipples when putting tension on my rim. 😉

I live 3.5miles from work but managed to squeeze a 40 miler in this morning…showers at work so that’s a bonus.

Sounds like a lot of effort to me 😉

Yours are a bit ahead of mine. Our bees are massively down this year, I assume due to very cold spring. Hoping they recover.

I start work at about 10, 5 minutes from my house. That allows me to be lazy 😉

I sometimes get out about 7, never have the energy for self ruination, so treat it just as a leg stretch, always try to leave extra time incase of technical etc… 7-14 miles of climbing, road and gentle off road.

I am also curious how the LBS didn’t put it right??

this is a regular scenario though. I wonder what spokes they use, and if they come loose do they loose the tightness of the thread so can’t ever truly be retightened*

*I have no idea, just thinking outloud here, but it is the same story we keep hearing on the wheels, and same as I’ve seen happen first hand.

    But why?

BBs, Pedals, Grips (oh the Excel grips – like gnar sex for my hands), brake pads, brake hoses & fitting kits… for those things they’re great. In part, for anything which they have made for them and don’t assemble themselves, and for anything where I won’t mind writing it off if somat goes awry (hasn’t yet)… Had many years of good, colour coordinated, quickly delivered bits and bobs from them, so if it happens I’ll still be better off that if I hadn’t used them. But no faith in their returns/warranty process at all.

Yeah this comes, and if you’re normal it goes. While I try for segments I find that’s just another motivation to get out on the bike, no bad thing. I might race a segment, but I’ll still slow for walkers etc if I come across one. What’s changed my riding more is a dropper, no more rest stops to ‘change seat height’.

Mate of mine took some SS wheels to the alps, we ended up spending much of our holiday by the bike repair van in Les Lindarets. He said much the same thing. No recompense was ever forthcoming. Another friend has a set of SS wheels that have been problem free, and are still true and tight after 3 yrs.

Here’s the nub : I have never heard anyone ever give an account of getting an easy or pleasing outcome from SS’s warranty process. They are always told it’s fine/its your own fault/that’s supposed to happen/you have used the product incorrectly.

Don’t get me wrong, I love SS and all my bikes have something SS on them, but I limit what I buy from them for this reason. Never buy anything for more than 40 quid simply put, or with more moving parts than a pedal.

Its a shame but for this reason their name is mud in many circles.
