How strange this post is up 7 months after I started it !

We bought a Merc C270 cdi estate in the end, but sadly its now gone so actually looking for another car !
(great car 55mpg but had an electrical fault that kept reoccurring and refuse to spend anymore on it, sold on ebay with known problem)

After another sleepless night I left for work at 6.30 so not had a chance to talk yet but have spoken on the phone and have said I want to tell her how Im feeling as last night we had a massive arguement…emotions !

Just wanted to add that both of my sons had the correct foot wear on as we do a lot of walking.

Stoatsbrother thanks for your offer of help but Im going to pass on it for a number of reasons, you may look at it and if its not good how are you going to reply to that ? also a picture is not the same as actually seeing the real thing.
Its best to wait to see the dermatologist rather than an email.

Doctor didnt say how long it would take to be referred

its been there a while and as stated above it was there 6 or 7 months ago and she thinks it went and has come back.

normally all the doctors on here give an opinion but I guess I have asked to much and its hard to say what it could/should/is be.

If you have a story to tell about what so and so found or it was this or that please don’t post it here as I don’t want to hear horror stories etc

she has been referred to a dermatologist which will take a few weeks.

not pinched it she cant remember how quickly it came but I do remember that I looked at in a good few months back (possibly 6 months ago) and apparently it went…and has now reappeared

I called the RAC and they checked battery the guy said by topping up an old battery always finishes it off !

I’m not upset I have to buy a battery that’s part of the luxury of owning a car.

I cant work out as to why it stopped working like that ? its never even shown signs of going flat. filled up with battery juice water hey presto it stops working ! thats what I cant work out

Apatently not my engineering friend said the same ! Something to do with the solution being weaker

between 1999 and 2003 rust has been a massive issue with MB

looked at that phoned several none in stock and from what ive seen on ebay they are same condition as mine ! also not many on there

of course £300 is a lot of money but in a cars upkeep its not thats part of the deal with owning cars and Id rather not spend it.

if it can keep the rust away for a few years then its gotta be worth it

£300 sounds fair. is it worth it? Think about if you don’t do it now: what’s the worst that can happen? IT GETS WORSE AND COSTS EVEN MORE TO FIX And if you do it now: what’s the best outcome? IT WILL LOOK NICE !
& £300 is not going to break the bank

I know it will never be a classic but if its not sorted then it will get worse and I am hoping to keep for a few years if it goes through on the boot then its going to cost loads more to sort out even if I source a second hand tailgate.

no power loss that I know of how could I tell if there was power loss?

its prob always done it I have just never noticed (only had it a week )

only does it if I rev or apply more gas and its not loud at all
