You guys need to take a look at yourselves !

Her son has literally just technically died and you’re all gossiping about her past accusing her of milking the system etc etc

I take it not one of you has lost a child ?

If all you have is hope you’d try anything to save your child.

    She’s grieving…

Hand in your notice start at new job…

    Each man for themselves!

*though I would seek advice in reality specially as you don’t to involve Riddor.

May the force be with you !

    In the nicest way possible…

Your speakers and sub are 👎🏼 It’s a passive sub and a cheap one and that.

As others have said sound bar and a decent active Subwoofer.

Give your current system to an inquisitive child and let them take it apart. Used to love taking old electric things apart when I was a lad in the 70/80s !

    Anything Japanese
    2006 onwards Nissan Micra
    Honda Jazz
    Kia picanto

Can get these for £1000 all day long

Avoid anything German, don’t be tempted with German reliability it doesn’t exist at £1000 !

    French – avoid
British ford vauxhall – avoid at all costs £1000 pounds will buy you an embarrassment of a car.
Swedish – don’t be tempted!!! I’ve got a Volvo it’s awesome. But alas £1000 would buy you a habit that just won’t end !

Basically at that budget stick Japanese!

Let us know what you end up with !

    Thanks for replies

I drove the car yesterday and absolutely no noise etc.

500 miles over the last month of local driving/school runs etc.

Someone trying to steal the wheel is feasible I guess…

This is true the outcome would have been the same, I’m not angry with the guy as it was clearly an accident. He got off lightly next time it could be a person.

Speeding on any road isn’t great but a single width road with oncoming traffic is just a disaster.

Dog has realised she’s gone as he’s gone sniffing round for her and can’t find her, he’s now siting by the door waiting for her. 😢

    Update

My wife received the call yesterday evening from the consultant huge huge relief both lumps are benign…two weeks of hell. Consultant doesn’t want to remove them as it could cause lots of scaring ( she’s not that blessed in the boob dept)
The benign lumps are there to stay for now and back again in 6 months for another check.
    Absolutely relieved….

The last 2 weeks have been awful, having lived through this before with my mum I know only to well the true destruction of cancer.

I thank you all for your extremely kind words/ advice etc
For all of you that are living or have lived with breast cancer my heart truly goes out to you all.

    Do

Did we celebrate, no just absolutely
    relieved.

Thank you all once again 🥰

    Hi

thank you for your remembering – we find out the biopsy results tomorrow morning (Friday) so was holding off till then. Though the initial examination seemed positive with the mammogram.

We are being positive and remaining calm till tomorrow…

Firstly what’s wrong with your back ?

Slip disc/lower back pain/ middle back pain etc ?

Have you tried some gentle stretch exercises? Mkensie book look on Amazon will help you.

Is it bad all the time/when you wake up etc ?

Naproxen will be your friend but it’s only available on prescription, though if you look at period pain relief tablets it contains naproxen…

    Good luck

Thanks. I like solo motorcycle camping and we both like camping with the car, but when she is on pillion we prefer a roof over our heads. I will check out that location though 👍

Should have mentioned they are chalets/ or luxury French style statics.

    Absolutely not camping !

Did exactly this trip 3 weeks ago

    We stayed in La Vallée
Houlgate, Normandy which we booked through eurocamp – cheap as chips out of season which effectively it would be late June.

A few motorcyle tourer on site doing exactly what you plan on doing.

Nice place to stay and great location.

You’re talking a few pounds – what’s wrong with you ! Your choice to eat just like at home – why should your employer pay for you to eat.

People out there that can’t afford to eat and you’re moaning about a few quid !

With my medical background it sounds like you have other worries and stresses going on and this incident was the icing on the cake.

Either that or give up your license if you can’t handle the pace on the fast lane with the big boys…

Perhaps you shouldn’t have been on the outside lane…

This far in and no one’s mentioned the diesel thing…
…wouldn’t touch a 20yr old diesel before long you won’t be able to go drive anywhere without a huge charge.

Had to sell my VW camper van (1985) as it’s not ULEZ.

Reasonable suspicion that it wasn’t a family heirloom?

I have a nazi sword in my wardrobe 😀 My grandad ‘liberated’ it from the remains of a concentration camp in Poland shortly after it had been emptied and shortly before it was burned down.

It’s very odd you put a smiley face because you own a Nazi sword. It’s by no means an heirloom. Perhaps it should be destroyed so it can never be used in any circumstances or looked apon as something cool – which is how you come across.

To have ADHD as an adult, you should have had it in childhood (either diagnosed in childhood, or symptoms of ADHD clearly recognised at home/school/work but no diagnosis made)…

Clearly adults CAN have ADHD…but a LOT of adults I see thinking they do are in fact stressed/angry/depressed/disorganised/normal.

    DrP

    Complete tosh !
Without a Conners test and lots of information/ history of the patient you couldn’t possibly presume someone has depression etc and not ADHD.

You’re born with ADHD ! FYI you’re still normal even if you have ADHD !

As an adult unless you have a very understanding GP good luck getting a referral- private would be your best bet.
Probably best not to see DrP as he may presume you’re depressed etc.

Bizarrely I have to go from Scotland to S Wales with an anxious dog.
I don’t know what to do but judging by the above post, it looks like it might be best to put her in kennels for a couple of nights.
It does make it really quite tricky when they don’t travel well.

Putting your dog in to kennels is far more traumatic than a car journey, this will cause far more anxiety issues.

Why would you want it to be looked at – if it’s new then only a replacement will do.

If you agree to having it fixed and the same issue or another issue arises you’re not entitled to a refund.

I’d check this out though I would return it ASAP along the lines of I’d like a refund please as per my rights, I no longer have faith in the car I’m not interested in a mechanic looking at it and rectifying. Refund please.
Be polite and hold your ground.
Read up on your rights before you go.
Sales person will do everything they can to dissuade you.

As there’s a big dent on the roof shoulder?!? WBAC will knock of a massive amount, you’ll be lucky if they offer you £1500 with a dent like that.

Going to wbac will be a total waste of your time.
