Swelling has come right down from what it was, new antibiotics make me feel awful (doxycycline200mg)
Saw my GP today who checked my arm and lymp nodes,which wasone of the reasons I went.
Freaking me out that I can feel them under my arm pit, she said it’s normal as is feeling tired and feeling unwell.
She did say once I’m better she would like to check they’ve gone down just to be on the safe side. ( again this freaked me out) ( i then spoke to my doc friend who said of course they’re messed up you have an infection in your elbow !)

I asked if I could go back to work tomorrow- she said No !!! Wants me back in on Friday to check my swelling.

I’m a rubbish patient.

All this from a simple scratch…

Sorry for airing – antibiotics and generally feeling rubbish isn’t helping my anxiety my brain is all over the place with lots of irrational thoughts that lead to a bad place which include what if it’s something else that’ and my time is up etc .

I can’t put this onto my wife… perils of me loosing a parent when I was a child is really messing with me…

I don’t expect replies or anything I just needed to air though I’m not sure it will make my thoughts better.

Good thing the news doesn’t mention murder, or poverty, or disease, or war, or suicide bombers, or ethnic cleansing, or gassing of civilians, or gay men being thrown from roofs, or animal cruelty, or peadophilia, or…

Sorry to keep posting- can’t take my anxieties out at home too much for my wife and children.

Not thinking straight as shattered so I’m aware my thought process is warped.

just got home 1.55am from A&e

My neighbour started her shift at 8pm (she’s a doc at the hospital) , waited for 2 hrs had bloods taken then at 10.30 my neighbour came out and called me in had a quick chat with her then was seen by specialist doc who examined me , bloods okay, arm infection, 2 hrs of antibiotics through a cannula and have to go back for the next 3 days for the same treatment…cannula still in me, said no point in taking it out.

a lot went through my head this evening !!!!

all i can say is a massive thank you to all your advice, I’m absolutely fried in the head , woke my boys up and gave them massive hugs…

NYE party is a right off !!!!

my arm still hurts !!!!

Went to see my neighbour who’s a doctor- said straight to A & E !!!

Wife’s elderly aunt ( she was 93 at the time) gave us a bag of coins about 6 years ago, she said they were all worthless so we thought no more of the bag of 50 coins… fast forward to 2 years ago and got chatting to a consultant through work and we got onto the conversation of coins, turned out he was into coin collecting so I mentioned I had a bag of worthless coins from an old aunt. Next day bought them in for him to look at… we sat down and he tipped the bag onto the desk made two piles and said this pile is cr4p and this pile of 20 or so coins are all gold sovereigns!!!!! Oh how he laughed at me !!!! Worth a few grand !!!! They had sat in a cupboard for years !!!! To make matters worse I had let my children help them selves to the coins – smashed open their money boxes with the promise we’d buy them new ones and we found 3 more gold sovereigns!

I bought him a slap up coop lunch that day !

Still haven’t sold them and gold is in the up…

The old aunt died 2 years ago almost a 100 years old – thanks aunty Bella !

Youve been given loads of good advice, you seem to be ignoring it, even if you have an appt on the 18th Dec you probably wont get an MRI till next year…cough and pay for an MRI

If you have all these symptoms and your GP is still ignoring your needs – its telling you something, change GP !

Also using crutches could be causing you more damage, has anyone medical told you to use them ???

As I said 8 months ago DO NOT GO TO AN OSTEOPATH at this stage.

Ive been where you are as have many posters, and your thought process can get messed up with the pain, do you work ? Is your job physical ? do you drive ? what can you change right now ?

Has your GP referred you anywhere ? If not you really need to see a different doctor and quickly.

My GP has been great, I know its post code lottery to some extent, there are two waiting lists within the trust, one with a two week turn around (me) or the usual 3 months… over the last year ive had 2 mri’s and a care package of medication, and lots of physio, so far i’ve been pain free since June, and they don’t discharge the minute you feel better.

Your GP needs to be proactive…there is no way you or your GP can possibly know what is going on inside you without an MRI

(within our trust its not the GP that can ask for an MRI its the physio)

or pay for an MRI !

We had a washing machine/dryer cupboard built outside ( more of a posh mini shed) it’s built onto neighbours wall been blended in the whole length of the wall 4 metres long, you wouldn’t know what it was.
No noise to worry about, pain if is raining!

ECG normal, saw doctor had a long chat about when it happened etc he also said its muscular pushed his finger into pectoral muscle and it was tendered hurt- he said somehow must have leant to hard , not used to road bike position, further listen of my heart and he said on your way and have a nice evening and take it easy on your bike !
