Don’t have a recommendation, but do have a warning. Recently tried 3 Bunnahabhains, Stiùireadair, Toiteach a Dhà and Mòine, all priced at the sweet spot of £35-£45. None of them worth more than £25. The Mòine was about an £18 whisky.
    Very disappointing

    Excellent film. Thanks op.

Tomorrow night’s viewing sorted too, with the following years work.

Also, I was intrigued by the title, wondering why you would use wav particularly, and not MP4

Doesn’t answer your question, but I’ve found LV helpful when ringing about non-standard policies. However, easiest solution might be to try a local broker who should be able to sort an appropriate insurer

The trailer has probably already shown all the best bits of the trailer, so don’t think I’ll bother…

I wouldn’t plan on doing the Wild Atlantic Way for a few weeks yet. Some of Ireland’s counties (all?) are restricting travel at present. No cross-border traffic to Donegal for example.

A week would be a nice trip up that road though. If you picked a couple of nice spots at start & finish to stay you could easily make it 10 days, or extend it into Northern Ireland and continue round the Causeway Coastal Route, which is fairly stunning in parts

Been a while since I’ve been on the bike but there were but there were some good natural trails round Binevenagh/ Ballycarton, which is along the coast, west of Coleraine. Nothing that would take you long though.

Garvagh forest has been developed as a small trail centre. Not much elevation, but it gets good reports for the flow.

Davagh forest is probably the best in the local vicinity. Some great trails and plenty for an afternoon if you do a couple of loops.

If you make it through all the rest, the final episode of Mr Robot is sublime. One of the few series finales that really delivered on the whole premise, tying it together without selling out

Glenfarclas 15yr for just over £50, or the 105 for just under. Both excellent

Well that’s reassuring. He was told that he’s not a danger to the public.

I’ve ordered with Flavourly a few times pre-lockdown and the service was always good enough. To be fair though, I’ve never really had any trouble with Hermes either so perhaps I’m just fortunate

I’d say dining for six. I’d rather be a little cramped around the table than have to do two sittings.
Dishwasher would be a big advantage, nobody wants to stand around doing the washing up on holiday.
Cafetiere would be grand, unless you’re going to supply pods for a machine.

One of the best recent episodes imo. Proper lol moments, but also a bit emotional to see it nearly into the last phase.

Still a couple of years left in it yet though I reckon…

That’s what I thought. Don’t think of it as trying to find ways to subtract weight, find ways to add lightness.

Pavement takes priority over dropped kerb. Professional drivers are supposed to be aware of pedestrians no matter where they are.

Was with Giff Gaff for 2 1/2 years and it was perfectly acceptable until recently when the data service here really started to lag, though that is reported to be an O2 problem.
I loved the pricing structure, only pay for what you actually need on a monthly basis and receive credit for referring people.
Just be aware that there are no call centres, if you have a problem you need to get an answer through their forum. That said, I haven’t had any problems at all until I tried to transfer my number across to 3.
I’d still recommend them if your primary requirement is calls/texts

Fallout 4 is definitely making me think about an XbOne. Especially as it looks like 360 games can be emulated now

Visited Yosemite a couple of months ago. Staying in the park would have been great but we ended up staying outside in the south side in Mariposa which was a great wee town. Has a couple of micro brewery bars on the main street which we really enjoyed.

It’s a lot of driving though for a couple of weeks, unless you want to spend hours on the interstate. If I was going back I’d be planning a shorter journey & more time in the parks.

Also, your £4k budget should be achievable. Fuel costs are NOT going to be your big expense. We did 2,700 miles and I think it cost around $300/350 in the Challenger. Our average mpg worked out as 30/US gallons which is not bad for a 3.6l V6. I budgeted $100/night for hotels, but that often left us looking at 2*, or 3* with poor reviews, so next time I’d allow a little more.

Eating out was the biggest expense. Even fast food places aren’t that cheap.

Just back from 3 weeks driving round California. Definitely do the trip! We had a Challenger & I’d agree that a modern car is the way to go. Just be aware that luggage capacity is limited for the size of the car you’ll get. 2 of us in the car & the boot/trunk was just big enough for 2 suitcases & hand luggage. Great car though & got comments from locals.

For a cross country trip I’d say 3 weeks is the minimum, there’s so much to see & do you’ll regret having to drive on to meet your targets.

I’d second the suggestion about driving down the Appalachians. Did that a couple of years ago and loved the drive. This trip we passed the end of 66 and I would recommend Barstow as a stop. Big train yard & a couple of museums to visit. I’d go back there again. Just make sure to be there at the weekend as they only open then.

I love driving in the US, especially when you find a small town to stop in. We traveled booking hotels on Priceline or Booking.com mostly just a day or 2 in advance which have us the flexibility to change our plans a little. An RV would be great if you plan to stop in parks, but as said, the big parks need to be booked well in advance.

Already started thinking of our next trip…
