Pink SS one here too. 6ft on a large, would have been better on a medium tbh.

Buy a couple of Narex chisels from Workshop Heaven and a sharpening system of your choice.

Wonder if that is why they come with a bontraegar 125mm post.

The 2017 Fuel EX’s I’ve seen in 2 different shops have Reverbs, not sure what length though sorry.

BH90 and BH59 have different ID’s, hence the two barb options.

Sintered shimano m785 pads fit with a little fettling and give much better bite and power.

Sounds daft, but how heavy are they? Safe to assume lighter than cast iron?

Way lighter than cast iron, similar to thick based Ali pans like skk.

My favourite pan is our De Buyer black iron frying pan… it’s just brilliant, and without much looking after I expect it to outlive me by a long way!

    I’ll never get a non-stick pan again!

This man has it, De Buyer are excellent. Once seasoned are completely non-stick, and can be thrown in the oven too.

SS + Nanoflex arms. Believe the hype, the Gabba is excellent.

For road, my current Synapse gives me no reason to wish for anything more. Somehow its both smoother than my previous ti (which cracked), and more rigid than other carbon bikes I’ve owned.

For mtb, any of the new breed of mid-travel slack 29ers (Tallboy, Smuggler etc) look tasty.

As above if it’s really stuck. Mine usually just needs a bang on the side of the nose of the saddle with my hand to free it up.

Novatec on dt 460 disc here, very happy with them considering the modest price.

IMO the bottom descent- from the gondola to Aosta- is worth a day by itself (there’s a lot of variations possible). I ended up not doing that much above that, it was fine but that bottom run is a perfect blend of quality and quantity, it goes on forever and there’s so much great riding in it. Love it.

^this. I love that trail, bit of everything.

I have a 2016 plug 1 in pink. Spec is wrong, the tyres are 38, kenda don’t do them in a 42. Loads of clearance though. Forky is flexy, wheels are heavy.

    I’d go for the kona.

Switch the F & R pads (and maybe rotors) to see if noise persists.
My 785 squeal was solved by giving the pads a light sand on a flat surface.

4 new bikes since March, but that’s not typical for me. Have also sold 3 in that time, so not as bad as it sounds!

The ID of the springs were made slightly larger in 2011, which meant you couldn’t use old springs in newer forks as the spring wouldn’t slide over the internal stub-shaft-thingee. However, you shouldn’t have any problem using a 2011 spring in an older fork.

Just mounted up 28c Pro 1’s, coming from 23c then 25c GP4000s. The Pro 1 measures just over 30mm (18mm int rim), and look rather beefy beside the 25c Conti that measures 27mm.
