I took out the extension for Extreme Sports from Insure and Go. It was the next one up from the Standard policy. I phoned and asked if it covered Mountain biking and helicoptor recovery which they said it did. Luckily never needed.

@edd It’s never been painful, just itchy and once you scratch you can’t stop. Too the point where my son drew blood. Then it can get sore.

Thanks for all the advice. Will be trying the antihistamines and get some good after sun lotion. I try and stay out of the sun but not always possible.

Mine just used to go into limp mode but a simple restart and it would go back to normal. only ever went in when I was in traffic and it was idling for ages. The engine light would stay on for awhile though but would go off after about 3 or 4 starts

@edd It only looks like that after a lot of scratching so I don’t think it’s that. The spots are a little wider spaced and more pronounced. also seem to appear only near elbows and wrist  and lower legs

I’ve used them for loads of stuff, never a bike though but based on what I have had from them it’s all been good.

Any suggestions for antihistamine? Or just the normal off the shelf stuff available in any good supermarket?

I’ll be there in 6 weeks as well. So will take onboard the suggestions above.

@martinhutch Oh yeah. Way easier said than done. :-) But you can’t help it and once you start you can’t stop. Will start taking them in advance though.

@martinhutch Only had it for the first time last year. So took AH on the chemists advice but it didn’t help. I grew up in Durban, South Africa humidity capital of the world, and never suffered this there ever! No matter how hot and humid it got so this is a bit of a mystery.

Another vote for Setup here. I run hot and and am sweaty sod. It wickes well and dries almost straight away on a long downhill.

I would buy another one when needed.

Superstar have 35% off their entire range. Can we put the code on here? SUMMER :-)

    Minimum spend is £35 though

Use it to transfer money to Spain. It just works. Think they had an increase in fees recently but still very reasonable compared to others. Transfers are just like transfering here from bank tobank. Takes seconds.

I think there is a referal code as well if you need one?

The coolant tank cap may not be holding pressure so coolant is escaping through the cap, but I would have thought there would be signs of it there?

Surely they will just change the laws again to make it lawful?

Be careful with that approach! In England you can choose to ignore the fine but the Parking Companies can come after you and win in court. Up to you whether you play the chicken game with them.

I don’t know about Scotland. So do your own research!

I would go to Pepipoo for advice. A much better source of info than here.  Also parking laws in Scotland can differ from England. You don’t say where the parking infraction was?

I have the opposite . Got an auto and almost put us all through the windscreen when I tried to press the brake pedal thinking it was the clutch. Doh!

Thanks PS. I only had a free membership and it worked ok, but as above, it has turned auto renew on!

I did have to supply card details though but it did say balance due £0.00

Hardest part of any ride is getting out the door. :-) Once you have you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Even if it’s just a slow bimble around the local woods. Often the best rides anyway :-)

I have a couple of items that no one would want but keep them in my unsold and just keep relisting them as it helps in getting the 80% offers.

I think Ebay monitors if you sell stuff and so you have a better chance of offers if you are seen as a regular seller.

    @crazy-legs

    You
“We’ve only got 10 years to save the west” Written in the style of an excitable five-year-old on acid.

Oh my gummy bears and glittery rainbows! 🌈🍬🌟

So, like, listen up, grown-ups! Liz Truss, the super-duper, mega-wega, ultra-fantastic conservative hero, wrote this book called “Ten Years to Save the West.” 📚🌎

And guess what? It’s like a crazy-awesome adventure where she battles the evil forces of left-wing political agendas and rides on unicorn farts to fight for freedom! 🦄💨

Liz says, “Hey, dudes and dudettes, we’ve got only ten tiny years to save our super-cool Western way of life from the clutches of authoritarianism!” 😱🕰️

She’s all like, “Yo, let’s preserve our cotton candy clouds of economic and cultural freedom! No more boring socialism, taxes, or regulations, okay?” 🍭💰🚫

And Boris Johnson, the big boss of Britain, he’s like, “Liz Truss is right, peeps! We need to unleash enterprise, boost growth, and reject the global left’s nonsense!” 🇬🇧👊

So, grab your marshmallow fluff, hop on your gumdrop rocket, and join the quest to save the West! 🚀🌟

Remember, if you ignore Liz’s warning, you might end up in a bubblegum shark-infested moat. And nobody wants that, right? 🦈🍬

Go, go, go! Read her book, learn the lessons, and let’s keep our Western vibes alive! 📖🌟🎉

P.S. Liz Truss rocks, and so do you! 🤘

whereas a £2000 bike was mostly something that a more average purchaser who really wanted a good bike and only had £2000 would buy, and so they’ll now not be buying a £2000 bike,

I think this is the crux. In 2020 I could afford a £2000 bike. Now I simply can’t. Plus in 2020 I could have sold my old bike for a fairly good price to put towards my next one. The bottom has fallen out of the second hand market as well as new.

The hit from higher energy costs as well as higher mortgages has hit everyone even on middle to high incomes and people have had to prioratise where their disposable will go and unfortunately even £2k bikes are now not on the list.

I really think the rise in the cost of living has hit hard. I bought a new bike in 2020. Just before Covid. My last new bike was bought in 2008.

My disposable income has more than halved since 2020 and that’s with a couple of fair pay rises. So I, and most likely thousands of others simply cannot afford loads of things let alone a new bike. At the moment it feels like I’m stumbling from pay day to pay day. I’m sure I’m not alone but I’m also way better off than a lot of folk out there.

I really don’t understand how people with less pay and more kids are managing.

Probably incompetent. I had similar when I was TUPED over to the council. Wasn’t until I got an employment lawyer involved that things changed. They simply thought they could do what they liked until it was pointed out to them that they were going against their own policies. Problem was it took a lawyer to point it out for them to accept it. I had already done everything the lawyer did.

I have the same Hunt wheels. Make sure the rubber seal from the freehub is seated properly. If it isn’t it can cause the wheel to sort of jam and the cranks turn. I had the ame issue when I cleaned mine.

I could’ve done with that stuff a fortnight ago, (minus the shrimp being vegi). Instead I have had a fortnight of drinking 2 laxido sachets per day to gradually shift an impacted bowel (spms troubles) whilst never daring to leave the house.

    I don’t have pics,

Service is good. I had an order go missing at the Evri depot. Used the chat facility on Monday to try and chase it up. They said they will check.  Email today saying it’s being refunded. Really needed the parts but I can’t fault the service from the whole team in really difficult circumstances.

I have one of the Your order has been delayed. Should have been here on the 4th. The Local Evri guy is normally really good here but not seen him for a while so wondering if they have changed drivers. Last time it happened i mentioned it to him and he found the order at the depot
