    Hi Weeksy,
Im hoping to get to Morzine for a week again this year around the same time as the ‘STW ride’ in 2016. Im then hoping to travel on to Finale Ligure for a week. Its on the coast. Take your bike.
I can imagine lake Garda is going to be chokka in August.

I thought the evil-frame-thing was history. I dont recall reading about the latest incarnations having problems.

Yes but youll need hinges as above to go past the architrave.do you want both the doors flat against the wall when open?

Can yoi fit the door you want but without the rails. Put door-stops in the frame as on a normal door, hinges as per a normal door. Put magnetic catches on the stops/ door to hold it closed and stop it flopping about.

    Are they boost forks?
And there was me wondering about a 35mm internal rim width being too much for a 2.5 – 2.7 tyre..
    The tyre shape looks ok.

Production Privee make an internally offset grip so that it alters the back and up-sweep depending on how far around you position it on your bars.

An August week in Morzine with my son and 4 friends was a fantastic experience. Add this to your bucket-list peeps. All topped off with a STW group ride 1000 miles from home. Stoner, our guide, has already posted a pic of Weeksy and Ambrose. Excellent singletrack was found mixed up with very fast switchback descents, coffee, cold beer and excellent grub. A big thanks to you again Stoner for helping to make my week.
    Some more pics…

He got shot in the back off the head by a secret service agent sitting in the car behind. He pulled a rifle out from where it was concealed to use in the event of protecting the president. Said agen heard shots took out the gun and accidently put his finger on the trigger as he was lifting it and shot JFK in the head.

On all of the Cube bikes the battery looks like an afterthought as do all the ebikes I’ve seen other than Spesh.

The Meriden looks nice. Any idea on pricing?
I must admit having a longer day out and being able to discover more does appeal to me.
I think Specialized have got it right in terms of design by integrating the battery and down-to-earth ( are they the only ones to do this?
I’d like to try one but Leisure Lakes want £100for the privilege.

Workshop heaven..local to me, the guy knows his stuff. I have some of the Narex chisels. I bought the sizes I needed and just add when I need another. I also have a couple of the Bahco ones.
You’ll find the more you use your chisels the more you’ll strive for better quality and sharper which in turn makes a chisel easier to use…this leads to honing guides, lapping film etc…
The Narex bevelled edged chisels are inexpensive and excellent vfm.
Whether you go with Bahco or not get a good honing guide, lapping film ( avaiable at workshop heaven ) and learn to prepare a chisel ready for honing.

Km79…not true..I love to ride down ( fast )..but having kicked a 30yr smoking habit only 4 years ago I struggle massively on the climbs. If one of these makes my mountain biking days out more enjoyable or I can venture further higher etc…to places I wouldn’t be able to go otherwise then I’m all for it..

It’s looking good. The 2×1’s you’ve fixed on the underside of the ply are also there to give something solid to fit a fascia ( decorative or otherwise ) to. This serves 2 purposes..1 it tidies it up nicely and actually finishes it off.. 2. It holds the felt down which in turn stops the wind getting underneath the felt.. I can send a pic if you want..

    Only lay the felt horizontally…..

I’m by Banbury, sunny Oxfordshire..I was thinking of asking Leisure Lakes in Daventry..I thought of trying it out for a day at Cwmcarn. 1 long climb/ long descents on the Twrch trail and several ascents/descents on the Carell..seems like a good mix.

I wouldn’t use batons over the felt. Your just trapping water.

End-grain sealer for the cut edges. Your wood will start silvering down after 6 months to a year whether it’s tanalised or not. You can prevent this with a uv protect oil from Osmo ( yearly ). If your timber stays out of sustained contact with moisture it won’t rot for a very long time so you could, for instance, use un- tanalised shiplap and then oil or paint. DON’T, I repeat, DON’T buy kiln-dried shiplap and go home and fit it immediately. Let it acclimatise, leave it in the open part under the roof before fitting. If you have a dry warm week you’ll need to fit loosely. Ie. Fit the first one, rest the next on top and lift off slightly (1-2mm) and fix. This will allow for expansion due to moisture.
