The turbo Levo comes with 3.0″ tyres..not proper fat. Should be ok I’d of thought. I can imagine the DH bikez running 2.7 ish..

By Playful i suppose i mean that i don’t just want a bike that’s fun going down.I had a lot of fun in Morzine/ Les Gets last year but the reality of ‘ I’m never pedalling again/ uplifts only from now on ‘ is never going to happen. I enjoy days out on the tight & twisty or just singletrack wherever it may take me but the whole adrenalin thing for me is fast intense riding if that makes sense. My fighting weight is 110kgs so blasting down ‘surface to air’ at Aston Hill for instance isn’t going to happen on 130mm.

Not really fussed but quite like the idea of building a 27.5 bike up that’ll take a 2.7″ front tyre 2.5 rear on 35 or 40mm rims.

I cant help but think it looks a bit “bunched up”.

Im a hefty lump and have had Alex rims in the past and have never had any issues. Afaik Alex make the Nukeproof rims.

I had a MM front & Ardent rear.
The Ardent would squirm about a lot. I couldnt get any decent 29 tyres anywhere ( only NN ). 29″ were very difficult to find full stop. Not a great choice of 26 either afaik.

If youre looking at booat for wider rims/ bigger tyres check what the max tyre clearencw is on the 2016 model. If its enough get some bling brakes and carbon Wheels for the older model.
