…or give up carpentry, sell my van, sign on, drink cider, repair cars on my drive and front garden for extra cash. I could keep bits of cars in the rear garden for when i need them. Invite my mates round and party til the wee hours..

Another visit to the forum finds me now being unable to drive a van correctly. Ive only been driving 30 years. As for the stalker checking MOT stats how sad. Do you know when I bought the vehicle? Why didn’t you post that the Only MOT it’s had since I owned it it sailed through with no advisories.
The road to the left of my drive is significantly narrower than the right of my drive as the road opens out onto a turning circle sort of area.
All those that can get a 6.5m van turned in a 5m space without alcohol come and try it with your own van..do you drive big throbbing shiny red cars by any chance?
If I was to park on the left of my drive and pull out and turn the rear overhang of the van will scrape the post.

Approx 4.5m – 5m from red car to black post. 6m+ van.

Council tennant so I’ll have to ask about moving the post. My philosophy is that I do not want to negatively impact someones life so being at logger-heads with this person is not on my agenda. With this in mind I absolutely detest someone trying to encroach on my and my family’s wellbeing.
I do reckon her greenhouse in the back garden is less than a meter from the fence though.
Make your own mind up anout her. My fence was behind the fence that is behind my van now and she complained to the council that it blocked her view.

@ nairnster..if my van doesn’t fit when I drive out that way why will it fit if I reverse that way?
Yes my verge does look alright dedpite my neighbor driving over it evetytime he parks in front of his Landy that’s stuck on his drive.

From this position I can not turn left without clipping the black gate-post

Davidtaylforth I hope thats a joke right?? If not how does f*ck off sound? I drive a white van an you think you know me? What a dickish comment.
I will have a look at contacting the council and look at possibilities of driveway widening. And yes it is my van. I have a 4m load length for timber, sheet goods etc. I’ve also a work-bench in there a storage space for bikes when I go away. Most of you seem to want me sell the van, give up my self-employed existance. I could then buy an Audi, drive and look like an even bigger **** when I’ve a roof rack that says look at me and my shiny Enduro bikes. Never again bother the old lady who has tried to tell me its my fault her husband was in ICU, had me take down my shed. Will light a bonfire everytime washing goes on the line…
Some of you seem to be missing the point. If it was a family saloon car you’ld still clip the grass.
What if it was a camper would i have to park that down the road outside someone elses house? Should I ask my neighbors not to have so many cars so there’s room for mine. Maybe I should ask them to come home from work after me and leave before me…

I wish it wasn’t as it is but I’ve no other option. As for the road being wide enough you wouldnt be able do drive an average size car ( 5 series or family MPV ) out of the drive without cutting across at least the pavement..

If there aren’t any cars parked to the left then I can turn left out of my drive. If there are cars there then its even narrower and I can’t turn up the road as the road narrows…and no I dont have a single place of work that I can commute to.
    Yes dropped kerb.

The patch of grass is in front of her boundry wall. I can see why it might annoy her as well but I have no other way to get out once on.
If anyone’s going to say then dont park on my drive in 99% of the time there’s no other parking on my street as it’s full. Some residents will park a car on their drive and put two on the road. My neighbour to the left has an off-road lanrover hobby thing on his drive which hasn’t moved for over a year. So he’ll park on the road as will his girfriend.

When a car parks opposite theres no way I can get my van off the drive without hooking a right before my rear wheels are on eithdr the tarmac path or road. Left is even narrower. It looks worse now as it’s winter.
    I’m reversing onto my drive.

shed is now taller than it was at 2.45m and bigger @ 14.5m2 and is now over 1m away from her boundry. Before it was about 150mm from her fence.

amedias…if it were a wall I would not be able to get off my drive.

As for the recently widowed thing its very sad and I’d wish it upon no-one. One day, when her husband was still alive, she was in the front garden and in passing said hello and asked how they both are..neighborly pleasantries and she tells me her OH is in the ICU. When I express my sadness for such a thing and ask whats wrong she proceeds to tell me how my shed being too close to her fence has effected her husbands health…I cant win so don’t try any more. And as for those saying lifes too short mine is too and I dont need negative in my life either. She could have a lot worse neighbors than us.
I’m self employed and it’s my van, has my tools in etc. And hhe closer it is to my house the safer i feel. It’s how I feed my family and don’t need any scumbag crackheads breaking into it because its on the road 100yds from where I Live.

Yes council tenant and the shed was too close to her fence ie. Under a meter. Chocolate no chance that wouldnt work. I’ve tried to be nice many times. I’ve had enough. When she came at me today I asked her who the hell does she think she is speaking to me like that. Took her off guard that did as she was expecting to be all nice as usual. Anyway it’s not her grass. Turning left isnt an option as it’s too narrow that way.

Same dilema here. I test rode a Spesh turbo levo at the weekend and didn’t get on ( grip wise ) with the 3.0 Purg up front so was going to start getting some tyres sorted. Ive always run a 29″ MM on my Enduro which is a confidence inspiring point n shoot tyre and was hoping for the same for the yet to purchase Levo. Certainly looking for a tough tyre weight not really an issue as pedal-assist. Has anyone real-world experience with the DHF in + or HRII?

If it was the front of the house then good side out for kerb appeal. Rear garden good side in. So much neater. Make sure the contractor finishes it of properly with a rain-capping. Makes no end of difference to the look.

@ akira and anyone else that thinks its cheating..

Everytime I use my cordless drill or screw-gun I cant help but think I’m cheating…or a router, circular or chainsaw..everytime I use google instead of going to the library….

I’ll be demoing one tomorrow at Cannock. I’ve delayed buying or building a bike this year until i get to try pedal-assist. A combination of having gained weight since I kicked a 30 year smoking addiction leaves me with little desire to always be the last one up the climb..

Are they worth buying over Pikes?
I never got on with my 2014 Pikes especially the lack of small bump sensitivity side of things..rammed full of tokens and low pressure means it ramps up but thetes no support..

My gear score is 256 and my Dark Zone level is 48…i would say its pretty acceptable. As soon i go in the dz i find it difficult to hold my own against 2 or 3 Elite bots or, and this especially pisses me off, a rogue agent who seems to make mincemeat of me and steals my spoils..
