Fugly she most certainly is. I’m sure that won’t matter where she’s going. Her whole attitude doesnt give me any confidence that shell believe she’s anything but a victim here.
I’d like to think though that she’ll come out a changed person.
Having been knocked off my bike 12 days ago and suffering multiple fractures, months off work ( self-employed ) I’d like to think that in these high profile cases people are made examples of and the bad drivibg toward cyclists is highlighted. Drivers need to become aware that there are consequences if you hit a cyclist..even more so if you then proceed to threaten on a public highway. She’ll always be known as the person who made the gun shape to Jeremy Vine and not the irresponsible ?river she is. A 12 month ban when she comes out of clink would of been good.

Dis she get 9 months for the threatening and abusive behaviour or is there something in there also for faliure to drive without due dillegence towards other road users?

Thanks for all the well wishers and advice. The whole ‘there for the grace of God go I’ is so true. I play it over and over in my mind. What could I of done different…answer is not be there. But this cant be avoided…I need to use the road to get to the bridleways that I use.
This has to change at driver level, more prosecutions, more awareness campaigns of what the law is, Billboards with a variation on the think bike theme etc..

OP here..I’ve had a letter from the police really just giving me a reference number for the collision. No other information on it apart from a sentence saying that the investigation may take up to 6 months. Is this a generic letter or will they investigate? If they’re going to investigate does that mean the driver hasnt admitted liability?

I had my Levo Comp for 10 days before being knocked off it. Now suffering a long healing process before I’ll be riding it again.
I’ve ri?den it on a group ride around Swinley and loved it. As a group nobody had to wait for me and I feel as a group it didnt make me feel like I was spoiling someone elses fun by them having to wait for me. There wasn’t a them and me. We were a group. Fun yes. Smiles yes. Regrets none.

Im wondering whether Junior would be hit with restocking fees of some sort if he cancelled…
cancelling the order and trying a different store, applying for or by a different credit company might not be good for his credit score or he might even be refused which most definitely wont work in his favour.

To make mattets worse today he me that it said ‘not in stock, expected delivery 10-12 days’ and that we changed the model 2 days after ordering. Both are lies.

If I’d known I could of advised my son to go elsewhere.
When asking if we can pick the bike up in its box without it being built up we got the response of it voiding any warranty on the bike.

On my 2014 E29 the shock is 215.9mm x 57.2mm

Shock size on both the 2017 Fsr Levo (27.5+, 140mm ) and the 2017 29 er Spesh Enduro is 197 x 48

I spoke to a lawyer yesterday and he only seemed to tell me what they would do for me once I’d given them the go-ahead. No advise though..they did seem to want 25percent + costs of some sort..

Update 1 if anyone is interested.
Upon seeing a fracture specialist today I was sent for a CT scan as it looks like an operation is imminent ( within 7 to 10 daya of the injury occuring ) and the consultant need as much information as possible before they ‘go in’. He reckons I’ll never have full movement in my arm/ shoulder again although to what extent he doesn’t know yet.
A friend advised getting the drivers insurance to pay for me to be treated privately..is this an option?
At the moment I dont have the drivers name address etc. Only his vehicle reg.as I wasnt in a position to take any details. Is there a way to see whether he was insured etc…

Getting R’s on my new ride as standard..should I swap them over straight away for the XTs from my current bike? Ive read recently that the R’s are still way ahead of the XTs..having not ridden both I wouldnt know..thoughts anyone..

I’ve a fsr Turbo Levo on order and was think of swapping the front 3.0 Purgatory grid for a 2.8 Minion DHF. I not quite sure what to put on the back.
