@ wrightyson..Thanks for the Kudos. I love concrete too for what it can achieve but I detest the way society shits on the planet. Was it the Indians that had the saying that ” we haven’t inherited the planet from our forefathers but borrowed it from our children “.

When we as a race say collectively, ” Oh shit, what have we done? ” It’ll be too late.

@ Footflaps…you’ll be bored of you’re summer-house in 20 years and will want another project…oh and FWI I took down a 20+ year old shed whose floor was on 4 x 4 posts to build this summer-house. Posts were Dry as a bone and solid as you like. The client kept the posts to use on another project. Drainage is key here. You could build in a french drain possibly. If you must use concrete put a Plastic DPM in before you pour. ( might as well go the whole enviromental hog. ) only joking. Keep us updated. Where abouts are you?

Why swap them over? I ride with the rear on the right…always thought it was normal. Probs a throwback from my bmx days. One brake ( Rear ) on the right.

What Palmer said..Brick pillars is a good solution.

Dig out 100mm or so and fill with Type1 ( or MOT as its sometimes known ), level and compact. This will provide drainage. Build the summerhouse on treated timber ( minimum of 3 x 3 but 4 x 4 is better) lain on the Type1. I firmly believe air circulation underneath and good drainage are essential for the longevity of the build.

Or build on rafters and surround with a deck.

I can post some pics later.

    Concrete has a massive environmental shadow …1kg cement = 1kg Co2e

We laugh and joke but what if it was a ‘ bigger ‘ or more aggressive dog. In light of today’s horrific news & the 14 y.o. girl mauled to death…

I would say yes, but would be pissed off when ( chances are high ) she blanks me afterwards.

When I grew up I was taught the whole respect & ladies first shite. Open a door for the female of the species these days and she’ll more than likely ignore you and think you’re trying to get in her pants.

    Oooh, I love a project.

Even if you could find an excavator to dig 30m you’ll still need to shore up the sides. You’ll probably have to shore up in stages say start at 20m wide then 10m down 10m wide til the pipe is reached. Might as well use an excavator with a largest bucket to save time as opposed to 30m reach and small bucket. Load onto conveyor to take away, remove pipe, reverse conveyor to fill in. Simples!

Cut the pipeline up and remove bit by bit by crane.

Strip of smoked Salmon on nice herbed cream-cheese on squares of sweet chilli or red/ orange peppers.
    Failing that a Cornish pasty.

Sorry..I meant to say non-customizable ie. only the Apple endorsed apps etc..

And unfortunately you can’t get one for £200. The cost of it hurt at the time I bought it ( wasn’t brave enough to tell the wife ). Not regretted getting one.

Apple Mac. I got pissed off with windows 6 years ago, bought a Mac, no viruses, no down time since. Not a fan of its customisable programs, apps etc. but it works every time.

As above really..but the fact your using finished pine suggests you’re not painting it afterwards otherwise laminate, fill, sand, paint. Alternatively cut from a plank/ block of pine 21mm x say 150mm.

What he said. Spray the whole ceiling incl. the grid. If you just spray the tiles you’ll notice how shifty the grid is.

    I take it the tiles are 600 x 600mm…so 3 is approximately 1m2.

A bmx race bike would be best as all the components are optimized for the age of the rider…crank length, bar width & rise, tyre width, saddle etc. etc. Check out the forum & classifieds on Bmxtalk.com[/url]

Hope this helps. Don’t forget his safety gear.

Give it to the police. Who knows what other sick shit might be on there. Wouldn’t want this sicko living on my street. I’ve three dogs for a start….maybe he has pets!

seriously dude, Hand it in before kids go missing.

The iPod belongs to the animals at the local zoo. The sicko is the person who’s supplying them with humans for sex.

I’d go for a hardtail for the better components you’ll get for the money.

What sort of riding do you want to do and where, how tall are you?

Have I got this right? engineered floor onto floor-boards which are on joists.

The floor-boards already run across the joists, so if you were to run across the floor-boards your running with the joists.

Do you want to completely build them yourself?
