Looks to me a bit like a spider that burrows. Happened to a friend in Amsterdam, only difference is as e eventually felt it ( think they release numbing agents ) we could only just see spider-legs in the hole.

Why don’t you leave it and post daily pics ( at this stage, later hourly ) of the infection. :D

Max allowable fence height also has to be measured from the lower side…!

Your MiLs neighbor is being a bully. Really makes my blood boil. Stay calm though as the law is on your side here.

Was the hedge a shared hedge? Ask for it to be replanted.

If it was perfectly plastered when the fitters came to quote then they should leave it in in a finished/ completed state. If it was a building site when they came to quote ( and by b-site I mean UN-plastered and in various state of repairs ) it would be logical for the fitter to think that you’ld wait before doors and windows were fitted before you plastered. If it was un-plastered when quoted but plastered when they came to fit then they would have to be very careful when removing the old and fitting the new and if they couldn’t remove or fit without damage then you should be made aware.

If they just went at it like a bull in a China shop then I’d deduct the repair cos off of their bill. I wouldnt want them back.

If you have to ask you haven’t really understood the whole concept of fatherhood? What were/ are you thinking? You ain’t ready!

Your first child??? Don’t make the mistake of presuming she knows what to do cause she’s the female of the species…!

OP..stop trying to look for a single answer. There is no magic here, no fastest bike. Rider x could win on a Giant for example and next year win on a Trek for example. Longest, slackest, lowest will be fine stability wise going down a flat mountain in a straight line. Going up a steep rocky hill at slow speeds its going to suck. As it will on tight switchbacks..it will always be about compromises. Don’t forget the skill of the pilot.

A F1 car will only ever be good at F1 and no other disciplines.

OP. You can’t just say your going to go for bike x with a 100mm stem and x travel hoping its going to be safe. Mountain-biking is an extreme sport wether you like it or not. If you’re over-reaching for the bars you ain’t gonna be safe. Take a 29er with long stem down a rock garden wthout the proper skills and you’re gonna hurt yerself. Take 6 – 8 inches of travel to a bmx track and you’ll have too much bike.

If there was the right bike then we would all have one…we don’t! What we do strive to get, or have, s the right bike for me.

I don’t know what riding experience you have but I’d seriously suggest getting yourself a cheapish second-hand hardtail ( fat-bike would be ok but more expensive ) and learn to read the terrain and pick your lines. Buying ssafety equipment is a must. Knee & shin protection, helmet with peak, decent shoes & gloves at the very least. And sign up for a skill-course.

@ countzero.. that would be a lot of fun but as the lawn’s not for me I don’t think the lady client would to impressed if I offered to take my gun out in her bedroom..

    Or then again…..

I recently had to dig up part of a lawn to extend a patio. Underneath the grass at ‘turf-depth’ there was fruit netting. I can only assume it was to stop moles getting through.

@ STATO ….you’re right of course, my bad. Thought there was enough grease on there. Can I use a copper paste or does it have to be grease? ( providing I can release the axle ).

@ maxtorque…it hurts my eyes too in fact it was the first thing I noticed. Maybe I’m just too anal when I build.

@WG. Glad to see things are getting better however slight the increments may be. Having a few peeps on here making you laugh is a positive. Things will fall into place.

You’re riding flats and have a hardtail so its another yes from me.

I had it in form of an email that their full-suss projects have been scrapped. Shame really as both the G6 and 10 four looked pretty sweet.
