I have a lwb high-top Mercedes Spinter which I use for mtb trips so I’d really have nowhere to put a hard-shell kayak/canoe hence thinking of an easy stowable inflatable type.. I can see how it could be hard work in the wind.
They’e not my neighbour but the neighbour of someone i work for sometimes. They won’t talk to me about it. Apparently the wife is so upset by it that if she talks to me about it she might lash out… had to laugh at that too.
I seem to sense an overwhelming ‘don’t do it!”
I suppose I like the idea of not heating with diesel and the fact that I can throw a kettle on top sit back a watch the pretty flames… I work with wood so a fuel source would cheap and constant…
It’s the same as cladding the inside with wood as opposed to plastic paneling.. it’s more natural.
Not to mention it’s something I can install myself unlike an Ebersbacher which is probably 20 times the cost of a small log burner..
I recently had a shoulder x-ray and the chap that did it was (in the adjoining room) staring and pointing at the screen and a nurse joined him to take a look. They carried on discussing something and called another nurse over. They showed her something on the screen. She then turns around and walks over to me and strokes my nipple, laughs and says “oh, you’re pierced..”
I probably could of had her fired.
Anyone fancy a meet-up?
I did the full official trail last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely sunny day. Then headed over to tin hut etc.. i know a few trails but willing to share a few and learn a few..
@ nathb I seriously hope the asbestos guys know what they are doing..this is a far bigger concern than how to fix plaster board to the joists.
I’m talking empty room, polythene
Walls floors etc. 20pascals of neg pressure etc. etc. All surfaces vacuumed and then (possibly sprayed with weak pva/watermix or similar) and an air-test before you move back in.
@ crazybaboon
When you say impaired movement how impaired? With mine at the moment I can’t touch the top of my head as my elbow won’t go high enough. How much movement did you have before the op? I had to cancel a planned Morzine trip this year as I can’t get back far enough on the bike for downhill.
@Mikew I don’t know how I’m going to get from NHS to one of the best consultants in the country…
